I recently watched the movie Babylon, and... wow 🤯. I know that many people were not convinced, but to me, it seemed like one of the best movies I've ever seen. The story is wonderful, Margot Robbie's performance is brilliant, and the soundtrack is spectacular. I had been practicing another piano piece for a while (it will come in the future), but suddenly I felt the need to record "Manny and Nellie's Theme." One of the most famous themes from Babylon, which also contains motifs that are repeated in other parts of the soundtrack, like in "Coke Room."
Yes, the piece is short and simple, and I always look for pieces that present a personal challenge and allow me to progress in some aspect. So, why am I uploading it after 2 years and 10 months of playing? First and foremost, because I really like it; it's beautiful, I enjoy it, and that's what Music is about. And second, it does offer an interesting little challenge! The left hand doesn't match 100% (almost never) with the right hand; it has its own rhythm, and the hands are slightly independent. Furthermore, although the tempo in everything I upload can be improved, in this case, I have paid special attention to trying to do it as best as possible (whether I achieved it is another matter).
I started learning to play the piano about 2 years and 10 months ago, starting from absolute zero, all thanks to the musihacks courses and @JaimeAltozano. Many thanks to Jaime because as a teacher, he's amazing, unbeatable. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn to play the piano.
