@@chrisharris1522 The most recent one Boh did with Ohmura (Oct. 22), some people seem to think Ohmura was dressed as a Kami, with white robe and facepaint, but he was channeling the horror movie "Ring", because their guest, former Kami Yuya Maeta, likes horror movies. The original novel's narrative ends on an Oct. 21, and their stream was the 22nd, by coincidence or not.

You got it alright with the pronunciation, it can be tricky since is an Italian word that is similar to Spanish word "amor", which means the same.❤️ This was another live premiere at Wembley Arena 2016 along with GJ! and Meta Taro. I love every SuMetal solo, this one is a beautiful power/speed metal ballad like Akatsuki (remember the "u" in the middle is almost silent, "a-kats-ki") from 1st album, that's why you got some vibes from it, some fans believe is tied to that song, and it makes sense if you pay attention to the lyrics at the end, it was a live premiere for lucky UK fans. Amore means "love" in Italian. Our queen finally reach some love after all. This song got another sub-title in Japanese "Ao boshi" which means blue star, hence the relationship with Akatsuki (red/crimson moon). You can also see the wings which is a reference to BM official logo but also comes from SuMetal previous group "Karen Girl's". The BM logo got the skull for YuiMetal and the heart for MoaMetal, another reference from Sakura Gakuin previous main group. Speaking of the similarity between Akatsuki and Amore, I think they both qualify as power metal and/or speed metal. Both also have a bass solo that I always look forward to, though it's more lowkey in Akatsuki.

this song evidently shows off the kami band and their skills, but it also shows how good Su is. how many 18 year old girls can sing over the music like this? none. some guys cant do it. yes at the beginning i love the imagine with Su having wings. Su is like no other front person. even tho the band is shredding she is still commanding the stage.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 This Wembley version is the one I love most. Whenever I see Amore performance, it reminds me of a phrase "gifted by God" although I am not a religious person. I wonder what level of skills are required for instrumentalists and singer to perform this song. If I had not known BABYMETAL at all and someone had told me this was an image created by computer graphic, I might have believed it. I guess no one or only few people ever thought that the BOH's solo part could be played by bass guitar, to begin with. (Should be keyboard in normal case?) Talking about BOH's skill, you can find a good and recent video with key words - kari band u/yeah!!. You will see BOH's usual performance there (not as a Kami but as a fusion musician)

As someone who was at Wembley, lots of special moments that show. The metal gods clearly blessed this young lady, being born in the same month as X-Japan's Last Live. Their is some kind of symbolism going on, right ? Like a way for Japanese metal music for the maintream to continue with her after X-Japan...

Great reaction - and as others have already confirmed 'Amore' is like a sequel to 'Akatsuki' so you were not wrong in likening them and the song structure. For many 'Akatsuki' is their favourite song and much as I love it too I personally like 'Amore' even more. It seems to have taken the spirit or feel of 'Akatsuki' and just added something intangible (and BOH's bass solo of course). This is still my favourite performance of 'Amore', but the Tokyo Dome performance was spectacular with Su way up high above the main stage and above the big screens on her elevated stage that must have been right up near the roof.

This was the first time performance and I was there. 🙂 Those wings are in the Babymetal logo as well, Yuimetal has the skull and Moametal has the hearts. The wings are very likely a reference to a Karen Girl's song: My Wings. And who doesn't love BOH with his big bass ?

I've seen the entire concert, it was on YT back in the day. Babymetal was the first Japanese band to play Wembley Arena!! X Japan was due to be the first but they fell apart. It's the only full concert I've seen of them and all it does is make you want to see live. There is a photo that is both happy and sad. It's Babymetal photographed with Yoshiki the week of the Wembley concert in London. They broke the merchandise sold record!!! Off Subject; Are going to react to the new Lovebites Bassist Fami? She has a YT channel and she is great!! You won't see her face though?!?!? You got to watch the Intro-MV.

Yep, in the japanese edition of the Metal Resistance album the song is called Amore -Aoboshi-, that means Blue Star. So it is implied that it is a sequel to Akatsuki (Red Moon). This song is not very valued among the mainstream fans, that sometimes have problems with Power Metal, but what am I going to do. Grew listening to the old Heavy Metal bands from the 80s, also big Lovebites fan...how am I not going to love (ejem) Amore? It is in my top5 of BABYMETAL.

Great reaction, thanks! Some people don't understand how special Su-metal vocals are. Because those Kamis are playing really hard and loud. And her voice still pierces through that impressing wall of sound. In an early interview, BOH explained that before joining the Kami Band, he asked Koba how was he supposed to play, having in mind that the lead singer was a 15 years old girl. The answer was surprising: you just need to play hard and loud. This is one of my favorite songs (huge power/speed metal fan here). I can see why it reminds you "Akatsuki". And I believe it's not a coincidence. As they say "nothing happens by accident". I always joke about "Akatsuki" (crimson moon) eclipsing "Amore". And I'm actually guilty about that, being the first my absolute favorite song. As a plus, this was the song's live premiere, which makes this performance even more amazing. Until next time!

Ha ha, when you said it sounds like "Akatsuki," I thought of "Akatsuki no Ito" by Wagakki Band. I must be tired. The Su solo songs are "Amore," "Akatsuki," "Rondo of Nightmare," and "No Rain, No Rainbow." I can't be certain, but I think you've seen 'em all now. Ever think it's odd that people call Su "Queen Su" yet Japan has never had a queen? We should be calling her Empress Su! That would be like having a Buy Me a Coffee page yet advertising energy drinks.

Nice reaction. Yup Su soloing and the Kamiband members getting time to shine during the song. It's hard to tell from some of the clips but Su started singing from a platform on top of the stage rigging. During that show they had a lift that would take them up and down rather fast. Su was back on the ground by the time her part started again after the open. Babymetal showed love to the folks in the upper decks. An underrated song. Most fans love it. How could you not. It's called Amore. Which is love in Italian. An epic love song done Babymetal style.

Good reaction to an excellent performance of Amore. The theatricality of the wings and the stage setup is great. The wings are associated with Su from her brief time in "Karen Girls" and appear on the Babymetal logo, along with Moa's heart and Yui's skull. I think of Amore and Akatsuki as a pair. They both have "crimson moon" references and mentions of keeping love alive even when the lovers are separated, but Amore is more optimistic than Akatsuki and I think it's more about love saving everyone and the World rather than individual passion. I also like Su's dancing in this. I feel that Amore is one of BM's more straight ahead songs, at least musically. Up to the dramatic pause it's a power ballad without any bizarre time signature changes or massive transitions, it's just driving forward. The melody always resolves itself in an unsurprising but satisfying way. It's also as much about the guitar and bass solos as Su's singing so while Aoyama is driving everything with the drums we also get solos from BOH (bass tapping), and the guitars. It's a great "big hair" type song that reminds me of the 1980s in a good way.

Great reaction to another great song. I don't know why, but I like the performance at the Tokyo Dome even more for some reason. And yes, the image of Su with the wings gives me goosebumps every time =) Btw it seems like Amuse eased a bit up on the blocking of Babymetal reactions lately, so you should be safe with the logo on top of the video. Not sure what to advise you regarding their new song "Divine Attack - 神撃", you still got a few songs left from the Metal Resistance area, so keep going as you see fit, I am here for anything!
