I don't really listen to rap as much anymore but I thought it was pretty obvious that F. Hero is objectively a good rapper (at least in a technical sense) and his vocal tone is good for metal. In any case, he's mostly there to expand the "BABYMETAL Galaxy." In their last album, they tried to appeal to different parts of the world. F. Hero is one of the biggest rappers in Thailand, so this song was to get some in-roads into the Thai market.

Alan is not the 1st to say they didn't like the rap vocals, I think the majority were against it on the 1st listen, but by the 3rd or 4th you get used to it and it sounds realy good. Also the way Su rolls those "R's" is so good.

@@aweigh1010 You're not alone with that feeling - I'm no fan of the new album either. I like a few songs (PPY, Distortion, Kagerou - and BxMxC at least is very cool) but I also can't get into the majority of the tracks, especially Shanti and Oh Majinai. I hope they'll return to their (japanese) roots instead of branching out their sound too much. But since Metal Galaxy was such an international success I exepect a future album to be more in that vein again (unfortunately).

@@Rina-eg7zw I think when people say it is diverse, I think they mean in the new sounds they pulled in either through sampling other genres within songs, like "Pa Pa Ya", or bringing in something like steel drums in "Night Night Burn", or even hitting up other genres of metal, like the very pirate metal sounding "Oh Majinai". I will say this album feels more like they went heavy on synthesized music or even electronica/EDM rather than just letting the band and girls have at it like normal, but I think maybe it was a safety mechanism since being without Yui and Mikio was still so fresh as they were putting it together. So they added more to support them, although I don't think that was needed at all and they could have let it be, but we'll never really know their rationale. I still like the new album a lot and I could listen to PPY, "Distortion", and NNB constantly!

Very upbeat, danceable, great percussion. And that is an area of the world that I'm sure they want to tap into. A performing band like BabyMetal would salivate to play in front of one of those legendary crowds. It's also right down their wheelhouse...Japanese Kawaii metal and Brazilian Forro?

@@dicodec There's no chance you'll get Tales of the Destinies up. There's no version of it on any big(ger) streaming site and there's no chance to get it past an algorithm by making a compilation because it was only performed once at their Tokyo Dome shows in 2016. But Syncopation is great, too, you should only watch out for the version that has "2set" in the name of the video, because it's the same song twice back to back without pause inbetween.

F.Hero is a Thai rapper who contacted by Kobametal to provide rap lyrics for a song about salad. F.Hero, of course, didn't believe a world famous group were calling him. He wrote the rap lyrics and had input to the song lyrics. He also said even when he and his wife were on the airplane (business class) to Japan that it wasn't real. How would you like to get that kind of phone call. There is an interview of F.Hero on Reddit. Thailand is a favorite vacation destination for Koreans and Som Tam, a spicy papaya, is popular. So the song is a summer song about Som Tam. This concert stage set was flown to LA for the LA Forum concert, somewhat a rarity for them. Questions for you; Did you notice the 3rd dancer was not Yui, but 1 of the avengers? Did you notice how they aren't cute girls anymore, but beautiful young women? 2020 is the 10th anniversary year for Babymetal and Su is now 22 and Moa is 21. Think about it, they have been Su-Metal and Moametal for half their lives!!

I'll admit, that after my first quick listen of the latest album, I was worried that Babymetal changed their style that I loved from the previous albums, and that maybe they went too commercial...since many songs on this album are very different past albums and are very poppy, but in a more mature way. Then I read some interviews and articles with Kobametal their producer/writer and the girls. The band described the theme of the album as going "on an odyssey to the Metal Galaxy". Su-metal stated that the album is "like a toybox, with a different mixture of songs in there". While Babymetal and Metal Resistance "had cool sounds to the songs", Metal Galaxy has a "new type of kawaii metal", and incorporates the sound of different countries in which the band has toured since the release of Metal Resistance, reflecting the "journey" made in the previous years. The previous albums you can tell were clearly inspired by famous heavy metal bands and metal subgenres, while with Metal Galaxy, it still is, but they added the flavors of different cultures from around the world. It's like traveling the world on a heavy metal train. Moa said in an interview with Loudwire, "although people from all over live in different environments, I hope that with this album, we can bring more people together as one." So then I watched a bunch of their live performances of the new songs since the live versions (even if just audio) always seem to sound better and you can feel the energy , and I of course, now love the new songs. Arkadia is one of my favorite songs, as well as "↑↓←→BBAB". Many people describe Arkadia as the "Road of Resistance" of this album. As long as they haven't lost their heavy metal-ness, I'm ok with them being creative and pushing metal boundaries (even more) on some of their songs.

Kano is the (soon to graduate) Student President of Sakura Gakuin, so that might be where you got the idea she was the head of this new project. @onefive originated as a separate group, not a Sakura Gakuin club or sub-unit. I don't know why you would assume that Riho would become permanent with BABYMETAL, rather than Momoko. Riho has been busy outside of BABYMETAL on Instagram, etc., and she will be starring in a stage play in September and October. Momoko has performed with BABYMETAL slightly more often than Riho, and was the supporting dancer at the last ten BABYMETAL shows.

From what I understand, since Yui-Metal left they don't do Black BabyMetal anymore. If you pay attention to the three girls, the replacement does not have a microphone to sing. The 3rd is basically there for the choreography and that's it. Black BabyMetal's Sis Anger is their most metal song in their catalogue.

I swore I‘d do some stamina training at least for a few months before the next show (no idea if that would suffice). If you're interested in hearing the other two sing individually, there are some videos out there from the Legend 1999 concert, which was a celebration of both Yui's and Moa's 16th birthdays.(Edit: It was their 14th birthdays) Also, Moa sings a Black Babymetal song solo in the Legend S - Baptism XX concert (you can get the whole concert digitally on Amazon for $9.00), which was the first show Yui didn't participate in due to illness, and unfortunately would officially announce her departure from the band a year later.

When this song 1st dropped last year it caused many in the Babymetal fandom to see they disliked the rap and F Hero aka Fucking Hero. Funny thing though is they it is a real grower. It is now a great moment when they bring it live. As for comparisons to MTH, totally different styles of rap. I actually think F Hero has a real good flow.

I initially had my reservations towards the Rap part as well. Mainly just because I have never liked Rap music. But like they often do, BABYMETAL turned something that‘s mediocre by itself into something great in combination with their Metal. I don‘t know how they do it. But I quickly noticed that I love it, and now I think it somehow it fits the song very well. But even if you absolutely cannot stand the Rap part, the girls come to the rescue: Just focus on their dancing instead, it‘s wildly entertaining!

I don't think Daisuke would work with this song, but a collaboration would be nice. Maybe Mikiko, the choreographer, should introduce them, She has choreographed some Maximum the Hormone videos, This song is powerful in concert, it really changes the atmosphere. The amount of pyro that goes off doesn't come across in the video.

If you want to hear all 3 girls sing more together at the same time then listen to Meta Taro. Moa and Yui get their own little parts but then sing with Su a bit at the beginning too. Hearing all 3 voices at the same time is magical. Wish they would have done it more often when Yui was still with them.

The new album Metal Galaxy has a number of collaborations on it, this one is with F. Hero who is a Thai rap artist. Babymetal is expanding all over the globe, including Asia. So they chose to go with F. Hero on this one. Sorry you didn't care for it. I personally love it. Just as Shanti Shanti Shanti is geared more towards India, this song was geared more towards Thailand.

While I do enjoy this song. I think Babymetal has gone commercial. But then again, it is a business, so why not? After Yui left (she was probably tired of it too.) in 2018, they were in limbo for a moment. In 2019 you could see the change. They even have the band so far in the back and they no longer doing solos or interacting with the audience (well the East does but West stands like statues). Also they went to masks so they can use other musicians who are less talented and probably playing along backing tracks during shows. Before we start , Yes I know Barone the drummer is good but he more about banging hard and loud then about skill and consistency. As for the Star Wars guys, not so much. They are Stiffs. The girls are very talented in what they have done and will do. But with all things said, time goes on and the girls are getting older so the original attraction of this idea is changing. SIS Anger - Definitive Black Babymetal. It is the hardest songs in their lineup. The Fox God gave the two youngest the hardest music. The only ones singing now are Su Meta (lead)l and Moa Metal(scream & dance). The third girl will be dance only. Notice no mic. There are three girls who are the Avengers and they dance only. Babymetal was build around Su-Metal and her vocals that's why its mainly her singing. The first two albums have couple of songs with only Moa and Yui but the third album is all Su-Metal. But if you really want to watch Moa sing then you can react to Headbanger at Legend M. Basically this was a show for Moas birthday and Su gave Moa the mic halfway theough the song. It's a very special and awesome moment. But it will most likely be blocked on youtube so you would need to upload it on Vimeo or something.

I think Moa is actually on the third album more than people think (minus the fact that she doesn't have a solo, then again neither does Su). It just doesn't feel that way because it's less of prominent and loud chants like in the first two albums and more of backing vocals and harmonies. Also because her voice is processed in many songs like BBAB. Regardless, we all want more of Moa's singing next album anyway lmao
