Babymetal is like an adventure. There's always something new and different to discover. Those who expect things should be a certain way will be disappointed. You just have to enjoy the ride. As Su-Metal says, "Don't think! Feel!!".

⚡ 💕 / 🕉 ☮ "Shanti Shanti, Prana of living beings Shanti Shanti, Chakra blooming life Shanti Shanti, Samsara of living beings Shanti Shanti, Karma, be in high spirits" - BABYMETAL, 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' I love Moa's backup vocals on this song. Super cute. She mentioned that learning this choreography, especially the hand gestures, was a real challenge since it's so different to anything they've done before. And Su has a chance for some real vocal pyrotechnics. Her range on the latest album, 'Metal Galaxy' is amazing.

Good reaction. This was all Indian from the sitar at the beginning to the rhythms and melodies, the choreo and not least Su's vocals. Likewise Shanti in Sanskrit (a written Indian language) means peace and repeated three times it means something like peace in body, mind and spirit. They have explored some musical styles from around the world in the latest album, this is one example. Always expect the unexpected with BABYMETAL and you won't go far wrong. No this isn't their heaviest song by a long way, but mixing things up is what they do - they never get boring just playing the same sort of song time after time.

It's not the heaviest of songs, but it still qualifies as Metal, I think, and it's certainly unique. The kind of fusion that you can't really find anywhere else on that level. BABYMETAL have toured the world for almost ten years now, and on the Metal Galaxy album they incorporated all the influences and experiences they came across during their travels. So apart from this Indian influence you'll also find some jazzy elements, Viking Metal, Thai Rap or Latin tunes. What strikes me most is how easily Su seems to handle all the different singing styles. She sings those Indian sounding melodies like she had never done anything else all her life. She's awesome!

Babymetal meets Bollywood. This a music video using some video from live shows but the studio audio recording. The part with no singing and all kaleidoscope effects in the MV is a dance section in the live show and you can see that the choreography is quite clearly Indian-inspired. And Su-metal is using an Indian vocal styling. When Buddhism came to Japan, in 552 CE, it brought Sanskrit with it, so not completely unfamiliar to the Japanese.

While other people’s albums are still singing love songs, BabyMetal album songs take us around the world and fly to the universe. Great reaction. Thanks!

the difference between each song by Babymetal make their albums never boring , Babymetal is the only band that me listening to all their songs never got me bored.

Yes, you got it! The more you listen to BabyMetal, the more it becomes clear that they are their own genre (even when it comes to kawaii metal) as well as a celebration of music in general with how they explore the different styles. :)

Yep, one of their less metallic songs of Babymetal. But that never really is a bad thing. It still delivers the listener/viewer something that possibly only Babymetal can.

This is FUCKING BRILLIANT ! Its like Bollywood with Buhndi Beat mixes from India, iteresting you mentioned irish asi rish reelwere born of Middle Eastern traders visiting the west coast of Ireland , bloodline DNA and melodic influence bear this theory out .. Most of the influeses in this track sound like Indian to me, with Tablas and Sitar in the breakdown , plus the descending hook meolody wreaks of Indian film score works. But this fusion and arrangement is another Babymetal Masterpiece,and have seen a fewreviewers in India picking this song up as the related to it. Its a wonder it hasn't been in a Bollywood film or at least covered for one. One of my fave BM tracks.

They've done two irish folk metal songs. So it's possible you heard a little irish in there. Meta Taro and Oh Majinai! with the guy from Sabaton. Those are two of their weirder songs. I didn't like them on the albums but Meta Taro especially is great live IMO.
@synco17323 жыл бұрын
Oh Majinai is actually Finish since the melody comes from a old polka song

@@synco1732 I wonder if they'll also do it in a stripped-down, heavily emotional style, and call it the unFinnished version. :D

Good reaction. Shanti is definitely inspired by Indian or Bollywood music and dance. It's quite an abrupt change from Kingslayer and BxMxC, eh? :D I recommend checking out the official music video for Megitsune next. It's the quintessential Babymetal song. It's pretty heavy and, like Kingslayer, has some synths mixed in. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXyWf4CQdrp-fdk The girls are really young in this official music video, as it is one of their first, but they are in their early 20s now. They invited Bring Me the Horizon to play some shows with them in Japan in November last year as part of their larger Metal Galaxy World Tour promoting their third album. One of the original members, Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal), officially left the band a couple of years ago, leaving Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal, the lead singer) and Moa Kikuchi (Moametal, dance and backing vocals). Normally, Babymetal fans will recommend you react to proshot footage of live performances. Megitsune and BxMxC are two cases in which it is well worth watching the official music video, however. Some of the more recent official videos put out by Babymetal, like Shanti, are actually live footage with the studio audio dubbed over. Here some fully live recommendations: "Rondo of Nightmare" with the Mischiefs of the Metal Gods instrumental intro (Live at Budokan Black Night 2014): kzbin.info/www/bejne/boildZyCgrONmac "Akatsuki" (Live at Budokan Black Night 2014): kzbin.info/www/bejne/nWOWaGV5arV9gq8 "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" (Live at Legend 1997 Apocalypse): kzbin.info/www/bejne/j5vNiI2mm8SdidU "Road of Resistance" (Live in Japan): kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIWoioh8nLGpm7s The first two are "Su solos" in which the lead Su-Metal sings alone while the other two girls take a breather backstage. The "1997" in Legend 1997 Apocalypse (the concert title) refers to Su-Metal's birth year. Be warned that "Road of Resistance" has been getting blocked on copyright grounds lately, so you might need to take strong measures to get around that. Link & Sync is always an option, especially since you don't seem to be the type of reactor who pauses a lot. We're used to L&S. You could include the link to the original video in the description of yours, give us a countdown, and we'll watch your reaction in one window and the original video in another. Keeping the original video and audio out of your reaction in this way will keep you safe from copyright strikes and blocks.

Thanks for the good review. The influence would not be from Middle Eastern thing but Indian music which has been quite popular or common in rock music historically, especially in the 60s (by the hippie culture) and the 80s (by the world music movement).

Take Babymetal and mix with Bollywood and you get Babywood. With Babymetal always expect the unexpected and done in a way that is truly different. Mix Bring Me The Horizon and Babymetal and you get Bring Me The Babymetal. As you like to see the MV's first, next should be "Megitsune" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXyWf4CQdrp-fdk and then "Karate" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/faenZHZ-dplrpqM
