_Accha accha accha acchaaa_ 🦊🤘🔥 Great to see you're back another week with a BM song. For me intro under 3 minutes are fine, so far you've been doing a great job. Like a recent British/Indian choreographer reactor said about this song: what you saw here is cultural appreciation instead of appropriation and Japanese are specialist when doing this with many others genres and rhythms around the world, of course BM wouldn't be the exception. I like Bangladesh people too, they're big supporters on this Soccer World Cup, always appreciated. Jumping again to 3rd BM album, you'll notice the evolution and more complex choreo in this. This journey to Metal Galaxy on their 3rd album got a lot of songs picking up rhythms from all over the world and combine with the unique sound of BM. Shanti Shanti Shanti got a Indian influence and elements, others songs got folk metal (Oh MAJINAI) or latin rhythms (Night Night Burn), or Thai rap (PA PA YA!), so this journey is wild. The album concept is about to collide the Light And Darkness side and this song belongs to the Light side. I noticed many girls love this songs so probably their pop sound is more relatable, idk, for me sounds exotic and that's what it hook me up. As long as you enjoyed is all good, there's BM for everyone. Since this was after YuiMetal left the third backup dancer here is called an _avenger_ there were three of them, in this song is Kano Fujihira, just remember none of them got official name revealed and not official members, they only dance, no sing. There was another challenge in this BM era for the girls and that was the difficulty on dance this along with new partners, MoaMetal talked about this saying it was one of the hardest thing to match up and get in sync with every one of them, especially at Legend Metal Galaxy when all the avengers switch up in the same show (also taking it a break) while Moa performing the full set 🥵 But it was a great experience for her, YuiMetal was also known as the "angel of dance" (you'll see more at BM guide) and she was the most technical among them, Moa took this challenge after she left and focus on this dance aspect learning a lot from the experience with the avengers and backup dancers before them. Btw MoaMetal said this song along with BxMxC and Brand New Day on top are the hardest songs to dance for her. Shout-out to choreographer Mikiko-Metal (Mikiko Mizuno) for making this song and the girls looking really beautiful, just like you said and just like everyone around here on your channel, all beautiful kitsune and megitsune enjoying these and BM magic. Keep enjoying BM songs and see you next time 🦊🤘

The song I share to people when I profess my love for Metal Galaxy. It’s not that they’re just injecting Metal into various genres for the first half of the album, they do it with so much love and care. This fuses India (more classical influences than Bollywood to my untrained eyes and ears), Moroccan, Pop and Metal both musically and visually. Beautiful use of layering too. This is near the top of favourite songs of all time for me

⚡ 💕 / 🕉 ☮ "Shanti Shanti, Prana of living beings Shanti Shanti, Chakra blooming life Shanti Shanti, Samsara of living beings Shanti Shanti, Karma, be in high spirits" (Shanti Shanti Shanti) It's great that Su has an opportunity for some vocal pyrotechnics on this one. And I'm sure they loved learning this choreography. Moa mentioned in an interview that the hand gestures were pretty challenging to begin with. It's very different from the style of dance they are used to. The musical influences on the third album, 'Metal Galaxy' are really diverse. It's clear they approached all of their international fusions with an attitude of respect, which makes all the difference in the world.

BTW, all three of the girls in that video were Sakura Gakuin President in their senior year with the group. Su for the 2012 Nendo (school year), ending March 31st, 2013. Moa for the 2014 Nendo, ending March 29th, 2015. Kano for the 2019 Nendo, ending August 30th, 2020 (COVID delayed the graduation that year)

Great reaction - BABYMETAL's homage to Bollywood perhaps - and as a choreographer with an Indian heritage who reacted recently to this song confirmed, this is not cultural appropriation, it is done with love and respect and is cultural appreciation. Shanti is a Sanskrit word (Sanskrit is a written Indian language) meaning peace. Repeated 3 times it means peace in body, mind and spirit (or in thought, word and deed). There is some sitar and traditional Indian drums (I can't remember what they're called) used here and the kaleidoscope visual effects are the sort of thing I would expect in an Indian video. I think the official music video editor got a bit too carried away with those at the expense of missing a lot of the excellent choreo. The live performances, where the kaleidoscope effects are limited to the big screen behind them, are better as you can watch what they are doing in the choreo. Moa has said that learning the hand movements in particular was difficult as they are quite different to anything she may have done with Japanese dance and the hand movements used in that. Once again Su-metal absolutely nails a completely different singing style at her first attempt. A reaction next week you ask ... more BABYMETAL of course.

Great reaction, thanks! Yep, they are so good at what they do. And you can tell they are having a great time while performing. Keep in mind that this official music video has the studio version of the audio over a pretty crazy montage using some live footage... and a ton of kaleidoscope. 😁 Until next time!

I don't think you need to cut any fat. I like listening to you talk. I miss your longer outros. You shouldn't have to rush, I like it when you're just natural and relaxed and say what/as much as you think. Hate that you feel like you have to whittle yourself down for people. Thank you for the reaction.

In a BM video, we for sure will say that we would like more BabyMetal instead of Band-Maid ahahaha In their 3rd album, SU vocal performance from both Shanti Shanti Shanti and Oh! Majinai! Blew me away! So different from everything she did up to now! As she did with BMC. That's the beauty for BM! You never know what to expect next!! Let's hope they stay like this even in the new album! I have hope for the next songs!! :D

another great reaction. Dude you should really check out Atarashii Gakko. If you like babymetal you might like them. They are not metal but the concept is similar in turning the idol world on its head and combining dance with a mix of genres. Songs like NaiNaiNai, Night Before the Exam, Pineapple Kryptonite, and many others. I think you will get a kick out of it.

BM has arranged this song in a stylish way, incorporating sitar and tabla, typical instruments of Indian music. Su-'s singing is unusual because I guess that it sounds like she is using a little vibrato in it. So maybe that's why it sounds a little different from usual. As for the dancing of this one, this MV has a lot of kaleidoscopic images, so we can't watch their great dancing, and it seems to be not popular among the fans, ha. The sound quality is poor, but if you watch the video of this one in 2019 Glastonbury, you can even watch the amazing dancing of the fingers and toes of the ladies. Thank you from Japan.

For intros, a lot of that stuff could be left to the outro imo. Just say who you are, what you are going to do, and GO! People who really want to help improve the content will still be there at the end and hear it. Not that I have any experience in this; other than my own reaction to long intros. (Unless I already like the channel, I don't like long intros.) The reaction is far more important, and you do a great job with this. But.. you might want to consider a 'conclusion' to your reaction too, if you want to make it sound more than just something you felt you had to do for the channel. I got the impression from this one that; "Good grief I'm glad that's over. Stop recording." This is one of my favourite songs simply because it's so strange and yet in a familiar way up-beat.

@Mattables Hearing you bigtime. It's not something I've ever done, tbh, so I'm probably not helping a lot. But if I was doing this, I'd just pause, maybe break-cut and go do something else for a while. Then record the outro. The point of reactions is that they are supposed to be spontaneous. I get that. And during the video itself you are. But you also need a little time to let what you've just heard sink in, too. I think that's justified.

what you are thinking about is culture appreciation not culture appropriation. i got that from a reaction from Xiaouiris. she is an Indian choreographer and she explains this song. she pointed out how much work went into this song to make it culture appreciation including the correct Indian style moves they incorporated into the choreography. the official video to me is terrible. there is a proshot video that is much better than this video. also this song proves that Babymetal can take any genre from anywhere and put their blend to it and make it theirs. but you are right. listen to Babymetal everyday and you will be happy.
