Sheesh is the official debut for all 7 girls with award shows, live stage public promotions, public fanmeets. Batter Up has only 6 girls as Ahyeon was sick. Batter Up is a predebut as there was no public promotion, no award shows and no public fanmeets or live shows. It was intended as a personal message between YG and Blackpink. Note the name Batter Up. In baseball it means next batter to step up to bat. Also a play of words, Better Batter Up. The next batter is better. Throughout the song you will see references to Blackpink. Eg, Ruka raps, Square Up, going going gone. Square Up is BlackPink's debut album. Also Ruka raps, the baton now in hand, I run run run. In track events, one runner passes the baton to the other etc, etc. At this time contract negotiations with Blackpink had stalled. Batter Up smashed the record for most views in 24 hours by a debut song ever, then went on to smash the fastest 10 million, 50 million and by 100 million, Blackpink signed their group contract in that same month. Although Blackpink did not sign their solo contracts which then led to the song, Stuck in the middle. From the beginning they had 7 members, namely Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita,From the start YG promised that they would debut on in 2023 because from the beginning YG kept postponing the schedule because of that he still had to debut them so that fans wouldn't keep wondering BATTER UP is the first song before debut, they have 3 songs before debut, namely Dream, Batter Up, and Stuck In The Middle, when they were going to release Batter Up YG made an announcement that one of their members, Ahyeon, could not participate in the song due to health problems, so they were forced to release Batter Up with 6 member formation because the situation required them to do so and because from the start they had announced that BABYMONSTER would debut in 2023 without knowing what would happen.It happened later that they did that so as not to disappoint the fans who had been waiting for BABYMONSTER. And last April, YG announced that BABYMONSTER's debut would be April 1, 2024 by releasing a mini album containing songs such as ( Monster's (intro), Sheesh, Like That, Dream (pre-debut song) Batter Up ot7 and Stuck In The Middle ot7 and Stuck In The Middle remix, Btw, the song Like That that they sang was a gift from Charlie Puth because Ahyeon once sang his song, namely "Dangerously" at the time of Babymonster's monthly evaluation, and thanks to that Charlie Puth's song became famous again until he was able to get an award thanks to Ahyeon's cover, so Charlie Puth gave a Like That as a gift for Babymonster. all their Individual performances are on YG and also the series on their training Last Evaluation with famour YG singers also evaluating them The Gal who with her brother were famous even appearances by Jenny and Lisa helping in this Batter Up and the 2nd song (Stuck in the Middle) had only 6 due to Ahyeon (Rapper/singer/dancer) being on hiatus due to health. 7 in Sheesh because that was the 2nd debut with Ahyeon's return also after that came Like That Performance video (A gift from Charlie Pugh after he heard Ahyeon's Live cover of his Dangerously. and recently in July they released as a teaser the song Forever ahead of the 1st FULL album in October (Not like the mini EP in April that only had the previous songs and Dream their pre-debut song you hear at the end of Last Evaluation series episode 8 after all missions are completed
