Even clementine couldn't pull the trigger to save lee back when the train stopped with zombies with them in the jail kind of room. Lee had to save himself on his own. It's determinant tho, you have to: - Save him in episode 4 - Hide the bite so Christa/Omid won't help you - Be neutral/unfriendly towards Kenny so he won't help you. - Ask Ben to help you come find Clem If you do all of this AND if you *miss* *the* *bell-tower* *QTE*, Ben will lunge forward and pull Lee up back onto the hospital roof, saving his life. It's really cool.

Season one was really the only season where keeping people alive mattered. You were rewarded for keeping Ben around with additional character development and getting the better of the two possible "Kenny disappears" scenarios. Starting with season 2 and continuing to this very day, saving a character from a possible death in Telltale's Walking Dead is fruitless. Take season 2's Nick for instance. He was clearly one of the main characters of the story up until the very end of episode 2. He received a ton of attention and character development and it was very clear that one of the focuses of the season was going to be Nick and Clementine's relationship. This was cemented when Clem is put into a situation where she(depending on your choice at the end of episode 1) either encourages Nick to not give up, or promises a dying old man that she'll look out for him. We have all of this story buildup for this character named Nick. But then he becomes a "determinate character" at the end of episode 2, and from there it's all over. The narrative abruptly loses all interest in him. He goes from being one of the most animated and outspoken members of the group to not saying a damn word during long group discussion scenes. After episode 3 acted like he didn't exist say for one small optional discussion and a few extremely isolated throw away lines, episode 4 ended Nick in the most unsatisfying manner imaginable. Not a single word of dialogue, no send off, no real explanation on how he ended up dead. He runs off with Luke to find Sarah and you just find him hanging on a fence as a walker with a bite mark on his neck. You don't even get a proper amount of time to say goodbye because Sarah and Luke are in peril. Luke, his life long friend barely even reacts to the news that he's gone. Stupidity like this has become the calling card of Telltale's Walking Dead.

Why you gotta hate on telltale like that they aren't like Detroit where there's like over 50 to 100 endings people didn't expect to have a game like that so they could take time telltale on the other hand fans made them have to work quick and they didn't have much time to put multiple choices/endings in and even if they had time they have 4 seasons and each of them you guys expect to have a consequence to every single thing you do, they also have other games to work on so they have even shorter time because they have to release all those other game which is like 16 -19 games they have released (Idk how many they have released) including DLC like The Walking Dead Machoine, and The Walking Dead 100 days or something and the final season feels.like it's gonna be good until they almost shut down completely but now skybound is going to finish it The Walking Dead season 1 to 4 is a great game no matter what and it will always be remembered

I hated Ben and wanted him to bite the dust on the first opportunity. Then when I got the opportunity to let him die, I couldn't do it. This game along with RDR2 taught me a lot about redemption and forgiveness. Ben is not evil, he is a scared kid who made some terrible choices. He is one of the most realistic characters in TWD cause most of us would be like Ben in a real Zombie apocalypse. He deserves a chance to make things right and redeem himself.

You know, Ben reminds me of me, I'd probably be clumsy and make dumb decisions but he's exactly how I look, I'm tall, and got brown hair, just add some glasses, and I saved him here, and I was extremely sad when he died, wish he coulda survived and lived longer. Learned from his mistakes.

Let's hope someone in the coming decades will make a remake of these games with much more choices and endings. Like Until Dawn but much better and more complex. With future hardware I'm sure it will be easier than ever.

It's painful that if you drop Ben he survives his fall but gets eaten by the zombies. It's like instead of a quick and painless death, he get's a injury from the fall, which must have been very painful and then get torn apart by zombies that he couldn't even run away from. He never deserved that kind of death.

In my opinion, Bens death was one of the most brutal. And is up there for saddest deaths along with Lee and Kenny. The fact that he didnt die from the fall, but was still alive but crippled- Was absolutely tragic, And imagine being Lee in that moment. Climbing out of the tower once he dropped Ben, hearing Bens screams and crying out Lees name slowly descend as he would he eaten by walkers. Ben surely isnt a fan favourite for anyone, and i doubt many people cried when he fell. But the fact he was only just a kid and had gone through that kind of painful end. That alone just made me tear up.

I like to think the VA of Ben didn't like Ben either so when he was told that the players can save him His VA actually just said "why?" that's why it sounded so Casual or like "seriously... why?"

Look, Doug was my favorite character, and I let Ben off even after he got him killed, but when he left Clem I told myself the second I could, he was dead, so when that walker grabbed him in the bell tower I didn't move a muscle, I don't care how old he was, Clem grew up more then he did, so yeah, I have no regrets

While alot of people both IRL and in game hated Ben I always did my best to keep him alive. He made a lot of mistakes but none of it was out of malice. He didn't deserve to die and I wish I could've saved him, imagine how fucking hype it would've been if Ben turned up in season 2 or some shit to help the main character. Seeing him go from a naive kid to a capable survivor...poor guy didn't deserve death

Ben just wanted to survive so he made mistakes by keeping himself alive. At the end he didn't want to hurt anyone so at this moment he lost his thought on what to do next after he realized he has nothing but failing a group that keeps him up. It was better to save him so he can feel wanted for real and not let go
