BAC855 Kit Overview

From someone who has worked with this controller for a long time make sure that the JST connection is well sealed up and protected and cannot flex in any way when its installed. Almost all BAC855 failures occur due to water ingress in this area shorting out one of the feeds. Good luck :)

does it cover peddle assist ? i actually do peddle. i don't think the happy run g60 has a proprietary system . there is no app . I have headlight and turn indicators but i called tech support and asked for output voltage to headlight as i was changing it they said no problem it is 48v output.

A dual battery setup just needs a firmware upgrade (instructions provided, and free). It'll work much better with a dual battery!

Excuse my ignorance, but do you need to change the mode in the Super73 app since it starts it in Mode 2 when you power on the bike? Maybe I missed that part. 🤭

No more Super73 app, this replaces the stock controller! It'll start in Mode 1 (Class 1 ebike), and you can toggle ride modes with the arrow keys on the display.

Does this controller have memory saving capability? If I leave it in mode 2 and turn the bike off, will it stay in mode 2 when I turn it back on?

“It will always start in Mode 1, which is a US Class 2 (20mph top speed, 750W output). This is a legal requirement. You can use the (+) button to cycle through to Mode 2 (US Class 3, 28mph top speed, 1200W output), and Mode 3 (private use, unlimited, 36mph top speed, 2500W output).” - handlworks email support

This replaces the torque update. You won't get any more S73 updates or support.

2 questions : 1 - how much amps can the motor take safely? 2 - I have a torque sensor, not a cadence sensor. Will it work ?

1. The motor's limit is based on amps over time - we are sending a peak of over 50A at once, with normal operation at around 30A. 2. Torque sensor isn't set up but can be in the future. Are you in EU?

The controller is IP rated for dust and waterproofing, as is the display. Since ebike connectors have varying levels of ingress protection, we recommend protecting all connectors if riding in very wet conditions.

S73's with lights all have a separate buck converter. You could pull this off the ASI with another higo connector...

Took me quite a while to realize that by 'compatible with your stock bike' means 'compatible only with Super73 ebikes'. Maybe this should be said or even be the part of the video title...As a BBs02 owner, I did not find this video useful for me.

this controller is an absolute ripoff except its small so you can hide it places in the bike, otherwise anyone can grab a $80 50a kt controller and get the same performance.
