Classic? Bach is science fiction. It's impossible, it shouldn't be there, it's a quirk in space-time continuum. His music comes straight from the future. We humans are just not there yet. Just turn on the radio and you know what I mean.

Junior High I was forced into a music class big bummer. Then we got to Bach at 1st same old thing just another old dude from way back when and then I heard it and... i don't know it was different. I fell in love. I now love all things classic .. and before, but still Bach IS music.

The third Brandenburg is one of my all time favorite pieces of music. I like this version. Being played in an art gallery, the room was extremely "acoustically live." Lots of hard reflective surfaces, especially the floor. But it actually made the sound brighter in this case. I could have lived without all the standing and pointing--strictly showmanship. It was very good that the director did not overcut the video--often there is far too much editing, and jumping around. Nice work!

This is an AMAZING performance ! I find it somewhat amusing That Karl Richter as Harpsichordist, & Conductor finds it necessary to drop the Keyboard playing now and then to direct various performers who are obviously so well rehearsed, that they need no direction whatsoever,... especially as none of them are looking at him... I do enjoy his improvisation for movement #2,... though it could be longer.... I would love to see some chamber group do a full chamber improvisation for movement #2 in which the performers are so well acquainted with Baroque composition etc that it goes off like a well oiled Jazz improv !

I have now listened to half a dozen different versions of this piece, and I still have found nothing to compare to a recording by the Philharmonia Slavonica in 1997, which I picked up new on CD for £1! There is something insistently disturbing and beautiful about the dischordant climax of the Adagio. Don't know if it's on KZbin. Nothing wrong with this version, though. Absolutely exquisite genius at work. Bach, words fail me. Bless you!
