The *music* comes through beautifully -- as Bach so often does regardless of the instrument, and the organ offers a variety of tonal colors which embellish and enhance the musical lines. Lovely! Thanks for this.

9:54 holy shit that’s incredible. That’s one of my favorite pieces and hearing it on an organ sounds sooo goood. It’s so full and perfect

I first saw Felix play in Baltimore with a mutual friend in the fall of 2006 performing the complete organ works of Bach. 250 compositions split up into 20 performances. I remember sitting on the seats at the Peabody feeling tired after each concert! And I wasn't even playing!! What a wonderful and classy individual and he is not yet 33!! I wish we had more like him. Do NOT miss an opportunity to see him whenever you can.

And as if writing the Goldberg Variations wasn't quite enough he appended it with BWV 1087, 'Various Canons on the first eight fundamental notes of the aria of the 30 "Goldberg" Variations', where we find, amongst other things, double and triple inversion canons! Seriously mind blowing stuff!

The rhythm of the ornamentation in the aria's opening is played incorrectly by almost all players. This is not a criticism of Felix but I have to point it out.
