A gem of a recording - I first heard Julian Bream play these works more than 55 years ago- that was on LP records, then I was fortunate enough to hear him live. He's been a favourite musician since then. There are fine guitarists now but old is gold, as they say

This was the first Bream recording I ever heard. It was from a cassette called Julian Bream Plays Bach with Bream and some guy in a frilly shirt both wielding tennis rackets on the cover. These remasters sound so good like 50 years of muck have been wiped off them.

J'ai l'habitude d'entendre Bach au piano ou à l'orgue, mais j'avoue qu'à la guitare c'est très intéressant et beau aussi. C'est différent, au moins pour moi, mais j'aime beaucoup. Merci et meilleures salutations de Montréal, Qc, Canada

I had the original LP, which I loved. Unfortunately my brother also loved it - so much so that he played it so much it was ruined. Luckily I managed to buy an old but pristine copy. I reckon this version of Bream playing Bach is miles better than his later version.
