Oh how I so enjoyed Sato's arrangement of Quodlibet starting at 33:05! The light-hearted interactions among the performers are a joy to watch too. Thank you so much NBS for yet another production of the highest caliber!❤❤

I am very excited for this project. Knowing that he created short ‘cantatas’ for students to perform at coffeehouses, I am looking forward to more of those. This is delightful.

Bravo! The Society's delightful production of BWV 211 (coffee cantata) had a similar concept, also available on this channel. In the final segment (Krieger's song), I expected the ensemble would break into "ich was ein Chint so wolgetan", as the melody is somewhat reminiscent --though the Carmina Burana manuscript had not yet been found in Bach's time. As regards the note in description that Shunske Sato is the _former_ artistic director... I did not know about that. According to a Wikipedia entry, _"on 30 May 2023, Sato resigned as the concertmaster, soloist, and artistic director of the Netherlands Bach Society after a farewell concert. He said that he desired to play other kinds of music but was hindered by his obligations to the Bach Society."_ What to say but wish all well to Sato and the Society. By the way, Sato has his own KZbin channel where he occasionally posts curious vignettes.
