You are right the Passion according to Saint Matthew is a marvel Because I have it practically even effectively as you say the size of the room of acoustics as I said above ensure that there is a control not only magnificent but Mostly a dexterity because he really loved her whole heart she's practically IN what she performs

Sparkling! I've only recently become acquainted with Schornsheim's work--wish I'd encountered her years ago. She plays with serious depth of knowledge of the period and the composer. Beautifully satisfying work. Please come tour North America and include Canada!

I agree completely. She is never off the least bit. She lives and breathes Bach as he would want his music interpreted. She is truly extraordinary. I am a harpsichordist (amateur, I am a physicist by profession) and I've tried so hard to do something like she does, but she truly does it. Her musicianship is something to behold. And her tempi are exactly as I imagine Bach would have interpreted them. The voicing is extraordinary (remember, this is not a 'piano). I am beyond blown away.

Wunderschöne und lebhafte Aufführung dieses kompakten doch perfekt komponierten Tastenwerks im relativ schnellen Tempo mit klarem Klang des technisch fehlerlosen Cembalos und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Die Fuge klingt echt schön und auch bezaubernd. Wahrhaft intelligente und geniale Cembalistin!

Bach diede altra versione di questi brani, forse perché non piacevano più di tanto neanche a lui.Infatti la scala discendente di trentaduesimi l'ha scritta per chiudere al più presto la fuga e buona notte.

Bach diede altra versione di questi brani semplicemente perché le prima versione della fuga, molto più semplice, apparteneva al periodo di Weimar, se non di Arnstadt; in ogni caso almeno 3 decadi prima della compilazione del secondo libro. La fuga che ci é giunta forse sarebbe stata ritoccata ancora, visto che sappiamo che il secondo libro non é perfettamente compiuto come il primo, ma rimane un piccolo gioiello: semplice, compatta ed estremamente coinvolgente. É un dittico delizioso e mi chiedo come sia possibile che a qualcuno possa anche solo venire in mente che a Bach potesse non piacere..
