Yes, to your first question. It is one of Bach's least interesting compositions. Harpsichords are not violins and it makes no sense to compose for more than one. Piano's are different because of the tones and the fact the sound does not have a double frequency, but even then , more than 2 pianos adds nothing. in fact, i wonder if Bach really composed this piece of musical noise. Its as though making three means zero value to any one keyboard instrument.

What a delight it must have been to play in ensemble alongside with Maestro for his family, students and friends, and to bring to life and of course, to witness the emergence of his musical “Nevertheless... “ along with musical “comforting tap on the shoulder and reassuring nod”, yet followed with surprising “winks” just when a sad reminder might have tried to interfere. Time to be grateful for all of the gracefulness of the dance that is always in the air for us to be grasped... Time for not merely knowing, but instead, for experiencing with all senses that this too ...shall ...pass Thank you very much for brining to life this, yet another unfairly lesser known gem that must have been enjoyed so much by the inner circles of humble Maestro of all times, being treated by him like royalty, tenderly and most lovingly... Marvelous performance! I however found the tempos in the outer movements perhaps to speedy. This music is so dense with ideas. A slightly moderated tempo wouldn't necessarily sound ponderous and would enable the listener to take in more lovely details. As the composer and performer, I think that Bach would probably have played the outer movement a bit more slowly to facilitate clarity. Congratulations though on keeping things nicely together, dispite somewhat breakneck tempos!
