# concubines for TV ratings ? When you think about shows like love connection and lifestyle the Rich and famous what you got the bachelor / bachelorette and can you imagine having one person choose over 30 single people and yet you got the cameras up front and you have ABC doing the show and you don't think that writers are making stories up ? No I know that Rachel Lindsay's is trying to sell her book to everybody but I was thinking that when Rachel was with 20 other women trying to find the love for a guy named Nick #A MIND IS A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE ? But you quit your job as a lawyer to chase after a man ? I know Rachel's family must have think she lost her mind and they put their sacrifice to build savings for Rachel to go to college and to become something of herself and yet she went on TV to be famous for 15 minutes and after she was one of three women dick that needs to choose you know it's funny that every script say that Nick fell in love with all three of the women but he can only choose one and Nick said to Rachel I don't love you and after all the time and the effort that she put in dressing like a Hollywood actress and get her heart broken and when she was crying all to the sunset oh that was ratings gold until they complaints that where were any persons of color that could be the next bachelor or bachelorette and yet they call Rachel back so she was the first black bachelorette now she's like King Solomon with her 30 concubines and yet after all that she picked just one but yet you hear the same thing that she's in love with all three guys one was Peter who didn't give her a ring and after the rose she said if you would give me an interest in a ring I would marry you if I was you're so call husband Brayn being thinking of that she been laying around kissing hugging 20 other men and I'm insecure on nobu let me be the next bachelor I'm good looking I can get any woman I want but afterwards the script says that Rachel gave Brian the rose and he gave her the ring and they live happily ever after blah blah blah but then it's funny that Rachel Lindsay got all these threats because she did outside her race well that was she was supposed to be is in the script because if two of the contestants were supposed to be on there just to get kicked off because they dated white women instead of black we think Rachel's going to do kick them off the show so now then Matt James the first black bachelor was dating a woman named Rachel Kirk connell a white woman who was blackface in a antebellum plantation ceremony what was any business of Rachel Lindsay you know is she supposed to be there advisor of about race why she hating on Rachel k but yet the way she sounded that she forgot that you were talking to a guy that bought you back into the bachelor Nation and you acted like you were the boss stay in your place child and then you call out Chris Harrison and he got fired by the brass it on ABC ! Then Rachel Lindsay said that I was getting death threats and hate mail because I was the reason why Chris Harrison got terminated well Rachel if you knew that the management or producers were only going to hire people the way they want like actors and actresses what do you expect for ratings but what you did expect the backlash of using race to get a 📖 that you need people to read ! you know you can't talk about race if people feelings are going to get hurt and for Rachel Lindsay she got what she wanted she got publicity that she didn't expect that they were answered .

It's sad that Bryan was portrayed a certain way on the show (fairly or unfairly) and then afterwards a lot of outlets seemed to not have covered them in AS MUCH of a positive light, as they covered couples like Colton and Cassie (before they broke up). Great episode and great take on the value that Rachel brings to the franchise. So many people aren't happy with her because she speaks her mind and is opinionated and they automatically equate that with something bad or negative rather than seeing how enriching it is to hear from someone who isn't a "yes man/woman"- would be very sad to see her go but I honestly think she's had enough. There's only so much one woman can take.

Chris' whole mood was the essence of white fragility. I have definitely been at the receiving end of a "who the HELL are you" from more than one white friend. I think one of the most important things about this is after the "call out", we need to move to a "call in". I feel like ppl always want to say a "call out" is equal to "canceling", but a call out is usually followed with the opportunity to "call back in" to the conversation. The more we navigate these tough convo's, we gotta remember to call people back in to the conversation after the call out happens - specifically those who we love and respect. I am hoping this incident calls a lot more ppl in to the conversation, because the only way out of this is through it. People are gonna get called out, people will get exposed like Chris did, but after the dust settles, I would hope Chris takes the opportunity to call back in, because at the end of the day, that's all BIPOC really want - for ppl to recognize the hurt, validate the hurt, and move forward with the understanding of why this "hot take" was hurtful and wholly misguided. Let's not let Chris get away with just an instagram apology & think that's all he has to do - keep calling the man back in to the conversation so he has no other choice BUT to do the work he says he is seemingly going to do.

I believe Tayshia being mixed raced makes her feel like she doesn't belong or have a voice in either the Latinos or black community, not because of anyone else.... or maybe because she grew up socialised with white people, it's also coming to her later. Lots of biracial people feel they don't have a voice. Likely she had to work really hard to fit in EVERYWHERE.
@Black_Rose12343 жыл бұрын
I think she eludes to this during her conversation with Ivan on the show... That she doesn't really fit in with either Latinos or the black community, also factoring in that she grew up with predominantly white people around her.
@angelsmusic25603 жыл бұрын
Maybe she could find her own voice with bi racial issues. I am not bi-racial. I am mostly one race but maybe if bi-racial people embrace both of their races and heritages it might lead them less confused. They don't have to choose or shouldn't have to. Maybe I mispoke though I am just Black. I just wish interracial couples will stop trying to be disappointed when their child doesn't identify as their race. They are bi-racial. They are two races. They may look more like the one race. Shoot some bi-racial people look like they are both. But parent need to put in a seed of confidence with them.
@sheilajohnson44653 жыл бұрын
After her season I felt she was uncomfortable talking about race. So when this current situation came up I didn't expect to hear her speak boldly about her disappointment on her Click Bait podcast. Was expecting maybe a general written statement, I underestimated her. I realize from watching documentaries on the Civil Rights Movement not everyone protested, some didn't want to cause "trouble" for themselves among the white citizens for fear of violence and retaliation. Plus it's more genuine when someone isn't pressured to speak up. And I have to respect when she said on her podcast that she is the first bi-racial bachelorette.

I didn't see the interview, but I thought Harrison said give her a chance to say her side, I mean don't you do that with judge & jury. It's so wrong for him to say let her say her side first, what a racist thing, really, I find it hilarious Rachel says she was quitting show if a black man doesn't become Bachelor, while she not only marries a white man but her runner up was white as hell too! So she only picks white guys to love, while she screaming to put a black bachelor, so sick of these double standards! How many people learn in social studies that the confederate flag is racists, only recently had they start taking them down. Making fun of a girl in h.s. who dated black guys would not make sense for her to be then kissing a black guy & marrying a black guy, that has zero logic to it, so why can't we hear another side before believing one person. How do we know she knew she was going to a party about race or a party just to party. Did she like a picture cuz of a flag in the background or cuz her friend was posing, we are just going to make things up before anything else. Okay keep this crazyness & double standards

Yes Rachel Lindsay loves the attention but just like Halle Berry being the first black no not really Hattie McDaniel the very first black actress to win an Oscar in a segregated time couldn't walk in front to get her wart she had to go all the way in the back so Rachel Lindsay wants the attention but now she's got it but she's got the deal with the consequences 👎 her and her husband been never break up but in law because that that will be the worst divorce ever cuz they're going to be some bad mouth and some scandals will come out and everybody's going to be very disappointed

So now we attach the word racist to someone who objects to the punishment of another person for having failed to boycott an Old South Dance when she was in college five years ago? Congratulations to the wokestest #RachelLindsay - for emerging as our opinion maker. And the collective discourse needed for trust and mutual understanding gets further entrenched in silence. (SMH)

I think Matt James was cast for Clares season with the intention of making him the Bachelor, so announcing when they did was taking advantage of the situation, but it seemed like it was the plan all along because of his popularity before hand. I just went back and watched the interview with Chris and Rachel, his "who are you" comment wasn't an attack. She was saying its been too long for her to not have spoken out ans Chris said said who are you, who am I, who is anyone else to decide when she feels ready to speak. The conversation was tense and Chris was definitely ignorant to the overall situation but I didn't get the sense he was attacking Rachel.
@kitkat89403 жыл бұрын
watch everything that Bryan points out in this podcast. He said, and personally I agree, that it seems like Chris just added the "who am I" and everything else once he caught himself and realised how he disrespectful he sounded towards Rachel.
@KaitAC3 жыл бұрын
@@kitkat8940 I did listen to Bryan then went and watched Chris again, it doesn't come across like that to me at all. Even if that was the case he's not wrong, Rachel doesn't get to decide when Rachael must speak on the issue; it's Rachaels decision when she feels ready to speak AND many sources have said the franchise was blocking her from speaking so who is Rachel to say "her contract wasn't stopping her". She's doesn't know what her contract says and she doesn't know what conversations have taken place between Rachael and then franchise. Rachel could have said she's disappointed she hasn't heard from Rachael yet but to say "it's been long enough she should have spoken by now" is no different than what Chris said. To be clear, there are definitely major issues here but biggest one is the control the franchise has of the narrative.

appreciating the good does not mean You must therefore "get over" or allow the shit You refuse to accept crossing your boundaries. there are most likely many examples in your own life where you have been grateful for someone/something for certain reasons but refused to accept behaviors/disrespect/line crossing/etc.

That’s not really true. Without the SHOW she wouldn’t have found her husband. Not without Chris Harrison. CH didn’t create the show. He just hosts it. Without him the creators/producers would have gotten another host. Also, even if Chris Harrison created the show (which he didn’t) you can still speak up against him. It’s like if your boss did something offensive, you can still speak up. You’re not supposed to just sit there and take it.

No, you don't know everything at 18, but you should know enough of life that people are mistreated in this country and have been for centuries and the ways that they have been treated as less than because of slavery. So why would you want to go and party in a place that has that type of historical baggage? She Also had questionable comments on her social platforms .Also why did the show not vet people more closely so that her being placed with the first Black bachelor would at least been a red flag, and not create problems like " Lee" did on Rachel's season???

Well I’m not even listening after this start. There is nothing crazy about the last 5 days. R Lindsay and her microphone ..then her husband riding off her back with his microphone and you Neil with this You Tube channel giving them and others the same microphone ( am unsubscribing to you after this comment, have lost all respect for you)..Chris Harrison did nothing wrong ! He said what needed to be said in ‘ a real world’ like the world he and I grew up in. A world that needs to be brought back to raise healthy young people! Nowadays everyone gets to challenge every utterance out of everybody’s mouth or actions with their microphone through social media ..yes it has lead to some significant outcomes like sexual predators being taken out but the consequences of all this are far reaching, it will do them no good in the long run ..it isn’t real life. These young people are out of touch, lost .. many of them..not resilient and taking their own lives in huge numbers. Chris Harrison is a solid man with a solid reputation for being a top notch host of this franchise. Everything he said was reasonable. The mob ( social media, the young people with their microphones are dangerous ) but should never be able to rule!! ENOUGH !

I mean I understand that Rachel Lindsay was trying to do her job. But she was wrong either way for asking Chris Harrison questions about Rachael Kirkconnell that he may not know the answer to. And this wasn't the first time Rachel Lindsay had feuds with bachelor contestants. My question is why didn't Rachel Lindsay interview Rachael Kirkconnell instead of Chris Harrison. That would've made more sense

I really liked what you said about representation. It should happen that sometimes the lead will be white and sometimes the lead will be BIPOC. I feel like it shouldn’t be something that’s forced like okay we had a BIPOC lead so now we need to pick a white lead and now we need to pick an Asian lead etc. I feel like they should just continue picking the best person from the cast and if they continue to consciously cast a diverse group of contestants, the lead diversity will happen naturally

Bryan is absolutely right and I love him for saying it. Rachel's the most real bachelorette, and the best to have been a part of this franchise, even still ... in her hosting and podcasts. She did not allow disrespect during her season, and she treated everyone with respect. Not enough drama for them - they like the idiots who allow the contestants to do anything and go along with anything the producers say.
