I think if Matt doesn't choose Rachael Kirkconnell it will be a big mistake, caused mainly by the influence of the media and, in particular, by Rachael Lindsay's ‘against everyone’ activism. Why Rachael Kirkconnell stood out among all competitors: In the presentation, she presented herself, did not use external support, said that they would have fun (something that was in Matt's mind) who doesn't want a partner to have fun with? She was the only one touched directly with Matt's prayer, which pointed to a spiritual connection between the two. She was also the first to declare that she was in love with Matt and the only one to say that this was completely! She was also the only one to declare directly to him that she wanted to have a life with him. The two had a very strong mental and emotional connection - an internal communication between them, revealed when Matt said that she didn't need to get his attention like other women, because she already attracted his attention naturally. Another important point is that Rachael was intelligent in winning Matt, not through intense physical contact, as others have allowed, but with thoughtfulness as they got to know each other more. It was the only one to whom Matt declared love and presented it. It was the only one he found, in addition to being beautiful, sexy, despite so many other women who were also sexy, some maybe even more from Rachael. It was the one that he praised most about his personality and behavior, saying that his interaction with her was easy, fluid. It was the only one he declared he was afraid of losing it after the parachute incident. Anyway, I believe that if they were without any external influence they would (or will, God knows) have a beautiful love affair!

I don’t think she was cancelling her she was saying she can do more on her platform than that. Racheal K has since posted a video talking about her past actions and how she is making efforts to change and educate herself. She also included links to educational Instagram pages, articles on why her past actions were hurtful, asked people to stop saying there was nothing wrong with what she did, and her understanding of why people aren’t accepting of her apology until they see change and validates that. I think that video was more aligned with what Racheal L was hoping for from her. Dave does a video on it too if you look at his recent post.

I truly hate to use the word “grace” bc of previous interviews and conversations but really just bc one person would have been on the social media immediately to voice their defense doesn’t mean everyone would. Matt never wanted to find a wife on the show.This was made clear the first episode when he said to Chris ,that when he is seeing a girl and it is time to take things to the next level he doesn’t commit. Why did they even choose him for bachelor then??? I think he used the winners past as an excuse to break up with her ,because he never took the show seriously anyway.

Let me start by saying that I live in South Africa and racism is still alive and thriving here too. One evening a couple of years back my then boyfriend and I were walking home from dinner when a group of white men in a car pulled up next to us and sprayed a fire extinguisher on us and threw eggs at us while calling us all sorts of derogatory words. This is just one of the many racist experiences I've had in my lifetime. Hearing thw comments from Karen is upsetting, but I hope she can educate herself. I appreciate the work you are doing with your videos Dave, keep going!

I am SO tired of Rachel Lindsay. Why is her opinion SO obnoxious and damaging. It feels like she is adding fuel to the fire and keeping all the controversy going. I agree everyone needs to look at racism in a very real and practical way, learning and doing, but have a spokesperson who has some compassion and doesn't bash everyone because she doesn't like something. How does she know what is in someone's heart when they issue an apology. Let's get Mike Johnson or someone who is more positive to bring things to our eyes.

My entire family, which rarely drinks and never does drugs (‘cause you say perhaps she was on something 🤣), would stand behind her words 100%. Respect to Chelsea Handler. You are so right about comics. Since much of comedy is self-effacing and reliant on finding common ground with the audience, comedians are innately self-aware and open about their flaws and failings. I have always admired comedians for putting themselves out there. An actor can hide behind a playwright's or screenwriter's words and/or literally mask him/her/theirself in a character. I have respect for any and everyone who puts their voice and artistic expression out there for the public to scrutinize.

On the first episode Matt seemed really concerned about picking someone that wasn’t BIPOC/someone the nation or his race would approve of, wasn’t that nice foreshadowing? Dang producers. Poor guy, this is a lot of pressure on him when he was privileged to the full picture. Bachelor needs better screening and/or the lead should be allowed some phone time to look up contestants- this could even be aired with a friend/past lead helping out.
@ilovegoodsax3 жыл бұрын
Matt was looking for a come up by being in the show, much like his BFF Tyler. In fact, it was Tyler's mom who suggested Matt apply for the show. Besides that, Matt had PLENTY of time to look up contestants (Clare did. She even confessed she peeped Dale's Instagram prior to the start of filming her season). Remember -- Matt was originally chosen to appear as a bachelor contestant on Clare's season. The producers quickly switched gears after the George Floyd murder.

great video Dave. I do think videos like yours is helping open up dialogs about these uncomfortable but very necessary discussions. Black people cannot do it alone we also need White Americans to admit to, and change their racist behaviors. I must preference by saying not all white people who display racist behaviors are racist, like Chelsea Handler said, it's mostly ingrained due to stereotypes and lies fed by the biased media about black Americans. Sadly, racism will problem get worse in America because of the True colors of America was put on full display while Trump was President, which is why I moved to Europe 5 years ago. But I am still hopeful. :)

Here’s the issue that I have about Rachel Lindsay judging Rachel Kirkconnell’s apology. Someone who is truly apologetic will exhibit what is called the, “Five A’s,” Is the person acknowledging what the person did was wrong? Is the person trying to make amends for what she did was wrong? Is there person acquiring new knowledge to avoid what she did doesn’t happen again? Is the person making steps to be accountable for her actions? And finally, is she accepting the boundaries to earn back the trust she lost? I believe the apology & steps that Rachel Kirkconnell made were all of those things & if Matt is the Christian he says he is, then he needs to address how much he truly loved her in the first place. Bc, love is patient, love is kind....

@DaveNealComedian3 жыл бұрын
It’s a good question, and I appreciate it. I think when she’s allowed to talk, she should use her platform to explain where she came from, where she’s headed and a plan for using this whole life issue as a net positive. In the mean time, she won’t be able to feed the hunger of the wolves who want her to disappear

@@DaveNealComedian Yes Dave I really hope she takes that advice. It would be interesting for people to understand what she was told/normal for her growing up. I’m always shocked because there was a whole civil rights movement, an actual MLK day, Oscar winning movies about America’s racist past. Is it just not having a curious nature to want to watch these movies? Excellent documentaries like The 13th on Netflix? I’ve heard she grew up very privledged and so was her upbringing like some fictional thing we only see in movies and her world was super insular? Will she be shamed by her hometown people/friends? I hope she can do these things for a bigger purpose, to really move some people forward, for a look into how some people grow up and think Antebellum Balls at plantations are ok. I think it would be a fantastic learning experience for all kinds of people. And just her, because I’m sure there’s some team working on talking points. I do think the pressure/spotlight on her has gone overboard. I hope she’s getting help dealing with this.
