Want to know someone's true character? Just watch how they treat waitstaff. Look how RUDE AND DISMISSIVE Lauren is to the person who brings her the cake, in stark contrast to Joey's graciousness. He is showing basic decency and manners but where are Lauren's?! When someone shows you who they are, believe them. ..Someone has to clean up the mess Lauren made hurling cake. I would expect better emotional regulation from a kindergartner.

I don’t necessarily love Maria, but I don’t think she did anything wrong either time people got upset with her. Saying you want your dad at your wedding, unknowingly triggering someone nearby is not her fault, and she was trying to encourage Madina that Joey must be attracted to her anyway. Neither attempt felt malicious, I think she just has an extroverted personality, but I agree with her the hate she was getting was just stupid. Sydney, you’ve doomed yourself.

I believe he 100% planned on choosing Leslie up until the minute Teresa said she was a successful day trader. His eyes lit up, and his whole demeanor changed. I also thought it was telling that they had made it all the way to the fantasy suite date without him being interested enough to ask her what she did for a living. I liked Gerry up until that point.

For anyone mocking the lady for feeling old at 31, you guys don't understand. Imagine you are still single at 31 and have to compete with the younger ladies for one man, how intimidating that will be, especially when she has never had a one-on-one with the guy yet. Seems like everyone is downplaying Madina's very legit insecurity/concern about her age. No, 31 is not old by any means, but she's speaking to a feeling that pretty much every woman experiences--the societal pressure to get married and have children by a certain age. This pressure starts for most women in their 20s and only intensifies through their 30s if they still aren't married with kids. You can dismiss it all you want but it's real. The biological clock is also very real and keeps so many women up at night. I'm guessing Madina wants kids with her partner and that's why she's feeling like she's running out of time. I wish our society and our biology didn't put pressure on women like this, but it does. Very brave of Madina for voicing how it makes her feel.

Exactly, 31 is not old. When I was in my 20s, I could not wait to turn 30. I was looking forward to being taken more seriously at work. When I was 28, I had 10 years of experience in corporate America, but I always had to work extra hard to prove myself and to be taken seriously. I also couldn't wait to get paid more appropriately. I would say I was at my prime between 30-32. I was more confident than ever, and confidence makes you look and feel beautiful and sexy! I got pregnant at 32 and had health issues that made me feel not so great. If it weren't for that, I would say my prime was from 30-40. If I could pick an age to be forevor, it would be 31.

Sydney has a valid point. Validation is key when someone feels that way. That is empathetic. Compassion on the other hand is something to be mastered.

On the 31 is old - you are a male and have kids already. For a female that is 31, they are thinking that even if they met their dream husband tomorrow - it is probably going to be at least 2 years before you are married and start trying for kids on a reasonable timeline. Then when you start trying, that puts you at having your first child best case scenario at 34-35 if you meet your dream man today. If you want two kids you are looking at best case scenario 36+ if you go immediately back to back. Anything over 35 is considered a geriatric pregnancy with higher risk for mom and baby plus odds of pregnancy decrease sharply from 78% from 25-29 to 52% at 35 within a YEAR. Now, this is basically the best case scenario if she meets the right person today AND has no issues getting pregnant. If either of those things slip by a few years, you are pushing into very late thirties territory/early 40 which becomes a lot harder to have children. Being 31 a single is a very very valid concern for women who want to start a family.

@@vanillaghetto Seriously. I've heard so many times from men in their 30s that they wont date 30+ year old women because they "want commitment" or are "in a rush". Over 30 in my city is a crushing blow - weeds out people I guess. Just the reality for many women.
