I think the subtitles are great for the people who speak the language fluently since they only really Dub over and you can still hear the original language but never enough to actually hear what they are saying and thats always exhausting to me. Alina settled I felt like. On the show there were so many times she confronted Ilias about the disrespectful behavior and how she felt mistreated by him. Then he kept doing it. I feel like an apology without change is manipulation, I guess it worked for them but he was not held accountable. I think he lusted after Hanni. Hanni was enjoying the flattery.

Yes it's true but your point of view focuses more on Ilias than Hanni while Ilias was lost because of Hanni's seduction who clearly showed interest in Ilias from the first discussion. Her attitude and body language show that she was hesitating between Ilias and Daniel. She opened a door that she shouldn't have opened, she played with Ilias' feelings with great pleasure, it amused her while Ilias was disturbed. The provocateur, the instigator is Hanni not Ilias. At least Ilias was sincere in his sentiments while she was only looking for attention and flattery. Who played with whom?! The girl even plays with Daniel.

Honestly what she said sounded kinda irrelevant at the moment, but now I get it a 100%. There are so many men who have a destructive streak in them, who feel the need to destroy or harm things that are pretty, delicate, took effort to make etc. Like I recently saw a compilation of men destroying the puzzles their partners had just finished building. They were laughing in their faces. It might sound kinda trivial (its just a puzzle after all), but for me it’s a red flag if a dude takes joy in destroying pretty things or things that took effort to make. I don't know if it's a german specific thing but i feel like the silence comment hasn't been interpreted correctly by all English speaking commentators I've watched. There is a difference between comfortable silence, you can enjoy with someone because you trust them and it makes you feel like you really know them and beeing stared at in silence. Picture going on a walk just holding hands and enjoying the sounds of nature or sitting in the couch reading a book or daydreaming vs. someone you don't know well enough to read their body language just intensely staring at you as if there's dirt on your face. ibelieve that is what she meant 🫶🏽 Loved your reactions though and hope the next season will be better, though is suspect it just doesn't work with the german mentality 🥲

Unpopular opinion but honestly… I feel like Hanni received way too much hate. It seems to me that Alina and Jen are a completely different kind of people than her and are used to a different type of communication. Hanni is kind of a “loud girly” and talk sometimes before thinking how it may be seen by other. So Im not saying she did not say the mean comments about Daniel, but to me it just seems kinda out of context… Alina feels uncomfortable about the way her relationship was portrayed on the show and Hanni is an easy villain for her. Sadly the real villain was Ilias who made extreme amount of inappropriate comments and decided that Hannis chattiness is flirting (obviously an egoboost for him)… Seriously… Ilias got away tooo easy!!!

Ilias has his share of responsibility but he was not the instigator, the provocateur here. Hanni began to flirt, to seduce him and she made him understand from the first conversation by her attitude and body language that she was hesitating between him and Daniel. From that moment on, Ilias was seduced and lost at the same time. Ilias had the courage to confess his feelings to her afterwards, Hanni remained in the dark and from the moment she is in the dark, she plays with her feelings. She enjoyed those moments when she disturbed him. She seeks to attract attention in a perverse way. The worst thing is that she disowns him and victimizes herself like Amber Heard. Red flag. She has this manipulative side that keeps coming back. as a german it's so funny to hear how the international viewers judge this season. well, the reunion sums up pretty well how it's like to date in germany: work above personal relationships, commitment issues, inability to be emotionally vulnerable and caring, testing boundaries to an unhealthy limit and on top of all of this: some deep underlying misogyny in this country. see, ilias had to take exactly zero accountaibility even after pulling all this crap on his fiancé, but the other women (hanni) gets attacked for it. and the moderators, alina and jen help ilias. so the men can do no wrong and society has an impossible standard for women. sums it up pretty well. german society might look very modern and emancipated on the outside, but it's a whole different story in private relationships. it's not yet south korea w the 4B but it's not looking aight.

Besides reading all the hateful comments to her, she kept asking what the others thought and then she makes a comment about Hanni's career change, which is none of her business, by the way, proceeds to ask what the others thought about it and then says "No matter how much criticism you receive, you can never be everybody's darling!', like what the 😮😮!! @ I'm sorry but there was no tyrant, there were two narcissistic personalities this season and they were Tolga and Hanni. What we can blame Ilias for is that he played on both sides; he hesitated between Hanni and Alina but we could see that he was confused, lost, disturbed, weak, sincere and he himself did not like lying to Alina or being in this triangular situation. THIS IS NOT THE CASE OF HANNI !!!!! What I blame Hanni for is having left Daniel alone with the girls and going alone in the group of boys when Daniel had come specially to join her. It is to have "tested Daniel's jealousy" (when you are benevolent, mentally healthy you do not test because you can hurt the person you suppose to love). It's having seduced Ilias knowing full well that it would hurt Alina (plus they were friends), having wasted Ilias' time, having been in the dark with Ilias for too long because it was only after Ilias asked her about her feelings that she answered that she didn't share the same feelings as him... Unfortunately the damage was done. Ilias was sincere in his feelings and his desire and this was not the case with Hanni. Who played with whom? She was gloating during this time. She also played with Daniel's Feelings, first she said that she needed more time (to marry him) and then she told him that she was not good enough for him... it's manipulation, selfishness. Indeed, he is a puppy for her because she knows full well that she can do (for the moment) whatever she wants with him and that suits her. I remind you that the girls lived in the same house as Hanni so they know Hanni a little better than we do and that they apparently also have information that we don't have. Dude, I’m not gonna lie…I put on this video right as I was getting ready to drive for the 10mn I had to get home 😂😂. And then in the video you decide to mention it’s subtitles 😭😭. I enjoyed the English bit you did put in there but I was semi-disappointed. The original definitely sounds better than the dubbed English, but I was not expecting this since the last video was in English 😭😭🫠.

I believe the format itself just doesn't quite work with the German culture. Over here the standard seems to be to date for three to seven years before you get married. Cases where people get married after only a year (or even less) exist, but they are incredibly rare. Due to this norm, most of us have the desire to know a person super well before making this huge commitment. For example we'd want to at least be out of the rose-colored glasses honeymoon phase, which typically lasts for 1.5 years. The fact that the candidates of this show have merely a few weeks caused them stress and anxiety, because there is just way too much they can't possibly know about this person, even if they really do desire to get married asap. In my opinion this is what caused many of them to back out or opt to continue dating normally after the show, as opposed to getting married. You can't realistically reach 100% certainty in such a show time period, so at that point the "better safe than sorry" mindset sets in. Based on what I've seen on the Internet, it's seems to be very common in the US to get married after only a year - at least amongst Christian couples. (That's another thing: Despite the fact that Germany is a historically Christian country, the rules of the faith are way less strict over here and the number of people who believe in God has also been declining. The way Christianity is practised in the US appears cultish to most of us.) The show's premise is from the US and it makes sense it would work better there than it did here. I'm actually incredibly surprised the season ended with a married couple at all. Admittedly any time I've tried watching LIB before, I couldn't do it because the people in the show seemed unnatural to me (for cultural reasons, not because they are actually "fake"). This season was the first one I gor through and enjoyed. I do however get why it might have been depressing to others. In any case, I enjoyed your videos on this season and I think I'll check out your videos on the American seasons as well. BTW: I appreciate you watching the reunion with subtitles. I can't deny the comfort of dubbed content, but I did notice some of the emotional tones in the contestants's voices got lost. E.g. when Daniel leaves the alter and says it's all good and he's fine, you can clearly hear him suppressing tears and trying to hide the cracking of his voice, which made the scene honestly hit really hard for me.
