Also, it came up to me that they are both having insecurities with their skin color and culture. Maybe its just me, but if you listen good to their conversations you can get to that conclusion to. Danielle’s issues are so deep that their relationship will always be about reassuring or meeting her needs but she doesn’t have enough in her to meet his needs. Nick did look scared when she told him about her panic attack. It was a shocking statement to make out of the blue. She does need some help with her anxiety and insecurity but the girl is not crazy or a mental case (both I've read as descriptors). She has a mental illness but it does not define her. She opened up to him right away about it and allowed him in. She really loves Nick as well, I can see that. Counselling is never a bad idea (I'm a counsellor LOL) but time and evidence of his trustworthiness and his committment will also go a long way in helping her believe that this is real and become less anxiety-ridden.

There is no amount of time and consistency that will ever make someone that insecure feel secure in a relationship. The scene where She accuses Nick of judging her when he said that he was just listening and trying to understand shows that she has a long way to go. On Nick’s part, it’s clear that he has never dealt with someone who’s issues run this deep and doesn’t know what to do. He even said if they’d met under different circumstances he would be done after that first fight. I actually can’t blame him for that, it’s a red flag. I don’t see anyway this can be a happy pairing without one or both of them getting counseling.

I see shayne as the blonde jock type who actually has alot of insecurities (and cannot match voices to the women to save his life). That said I feel he has always been his goofy way in the pods and just after they met so it shouldn't be a shock. Having the need of words of affirmation does not meet every single thing he does, he wants a cheerleader. She tells him (joking) that he is a piece of shit, for example even if he asks if he's good looking to her. He's insecure and she is feeding in on it by closing up. This is the only issue so far aside from bedtime eating LOL. I think he needs to grow up but she could help him feel secure in himself by praising actual things that she appreciates, to notice him and his feelings more (and to apologize if her sarcasm comes off as truth)>

Strangely, I feel like Iyanna and Sal would be a good couple. Iyanna needs someone she has 100% trust and Sal is very comfortable emotionally and seems very trusting (from what we see). Sal would make sure Iyanna wasn’t a second choice and they both seem to be more introverted people, so it could work out a bit better. And then let Jarret and Mallory have their own cluster f*ck of a relationship. Like I think Iyanna and Sal would be a healthy pairing (they are also my favorites)

Something I realized watching this season, how toxic it is for the contestants to be exposed to each other. When they were in the pods I hated that the guys/girls knew about each others relationship and they were sabotaging others. And them all meeting up in Mexico after having these intense relationships just a week ago…I understand it’s better drama but not good for relationships.

I was pretty bummed with the contestants this season. I feel the same way about this season of Love is Blind as I did about all the subsequent seasons of The Circle. Both shows had an amazing group of contestants for season 1 and the contestants on the other seasons just don’t compare (although I do like the season 2 Circle contestants. Just individually and not as a whole). If Danielle didn’t have so many personal issues and was more confident I think I’d root for her and Nick more. I liked Mallory initially but I think she would’ve been happier with Jarrette, although I love Jarrette and Iyanna, so I’m rooting for them. Sal deserves better. I think Natalie is too good for Shayne and I’m shocked she fell for him. And I really can’t stand Shayna and think Kyle has so many red flags. Can’t believe that he’s willing to change his beliefs for someone who clearly doesn’t like him. Hate Shake, love Deepti.

yeah I thought that was so awkward and unexpected, it was like he was trying to desperately control the situation and fix it by proposing rather than circling back to the religion talk, to actually talk it out like adults. Maybe he just didn't want to face it or was blinded. Definitely so similar to how Mark was with Jessica. I didn't watch the first season, but I've just binged the first three episodes of season 2. I already hate Shaina with my whole being. Spoilers ahead, btw, in my rant. Like, I get her reservations about the religion differences, I do. I don't understand why she accepted Kyle's proposal for that alone. Matching a Christian and an Atheist together is going to have a major uphill battle to begin with. But then, THEN after she accepts his proposal she has the nerve to try to get back together with Shane. Like WTF. Can't stand her. Also, Iyanna deserves better.

It’s impossible to not notice the similarities from last season, i.e., Shaina and Kyle = Jessica and Mark, Nick and Danielle = Cameron and Lauren, and I’m also getting Kenny and Kelly vibes from Sal and Mallory. I really liked Mallory at the start, but that talk she had with Jarrett at the cocktail party made her come off SO FAKE. I also can not stand Shayne. Every word he says makes me BEYOND UNCOMFORTABLE. He is truly a walking red flag, and I’m surprised Natalie has stayed around so far after how many fights they’ve had already.

I love the show. Nothing tears me up more than when the contestants say exactly what I’m thinking. The jokes Iyanna was making about the size of Jarret’s head implying something else is exactly what I thought😂. What makes the show so fun to watch is that it’s unfiltered. He seemed to genuinely like her until they met the other couples.
