What a treat to wake up to!!! From their 1975 album, "Head On", this beautiful jazzy tune is a masterpiece for your ears. Randy had a jazz up bringing and received tutelage from Lenny Breau full on display here. The instrumentation on this song is heaven and the guitars simply magical. Loved your reaction Harri, you had the appropriate head bob for that 70's groove. 😅😅 Thanks Harri and Louie. 👏👏 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦

That's some real good guitar playing there, and pretty jazzy for a hard rockin' band, shows how versatile BTO were ! Canada has produced a lot of good bands over the years, that's for sure !

This should be considered a masterpiece. That is some master guitar work by the vastly underrated Randy Bachman. This is one of those deep cuts from BTO that I have been advocating for so thanks, Harri. Do yourself and your viewers a favour and also react to other deep and great tunes by BTO like Blue Collar and Gimme Your Money Please.

I believe Randy Bachman was an admirer and a bit of a student of Lenny Breau, a prominent Winnipeg-based jazz guitarist of the 50s and 60s. You might be hearing some of that influence here.

Randy Bachman was a big part of The Guess Who. He co-wrote many of their songs with Burton Cummings. Songs like American Woman, These Eyes.NoTime and many others. A great Canadian artist from Winnepeg, Manitoba.

Recorded in 1975, released in 1976. Doesn't sound like other BTO bangers, however there is a little Guess Who in there, and a lot of Jazz with a Steely Dan vibe. Nice one!

They had a large repertoire of rock tunes. The biggest hit, if I remember correctly.. was "Taking Care of Business". Still popular with rockers and race car drivers. From the best decade in popular music history - the 70s. Canadian band. Randy Bachman has lived around Vancouver BC and on an offshore island for years.

Great song! Randy Bachman was part of "The Guess Who" & then went on to have a solo career with BTO. Both were great Canadian rock bands. BTO had a lot of great songs in the 70's such as "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Hey You", "Let It Ride", "Roll On Down The Highway", "Free Wheelin'", "Take It Like A Man" etc.

This song was recorded in late '75, released early '76. Most of their songs are more hard rock but I like this smooth jazz style. Another one like this is "Blue Collar" from 1973. I love the way Randy plays, the clarity of each note. Partly his skill and partly the guitar. A 1957 Gretsch, it just has that clean sound.
