Hi steven, a very interesting collection of models. I like the John Bull and the scratch built model. My favourite is the ugly rail bus. You gotta get that one running proper butty. All the best. Carl.

Hi Carl, that one kind of reminds me of an American prison bus. I have found a few replacement parts, so it will live on. Steven.

Hi Steven, you never cease to amaze me with your Loco collections. The John Bull is a great looking model and runs so smoothly, having the 3 matching coaches makes this set perfect. The Heljan Railbus is also a superb looking and running model. The Cable Car is very hard to find so yours must be rare now. For me the Ugly Railbus as you call it is unique in its design, I wouldnt call it ugly at all. The Gandy Dancers are fun items, I have one but it doesnt like points. I really like your home made Tram, it has character and runs well. Shame about the last Bachman Railbus having a split gear, hopefully you can buy a replacement. These seem to be an issue with Bachman I have had a few Locos with failed gears. Thanks for showing these wonderful Railbuses. Cheers, Paul.🚎🚎🚎🚞👍👍

Hi Paul, I just realised I haven't replied. Sorry mate, I don't know how I missed it. The little oddities were purchased way back when they were not expensive. I have fixed the cracked gear for now, it's is running much better. I only have a small collection of Bachmann due to the quality issues with their gears, they are like rotten apples. Glossy on the outside, terrible innards. I have a Dewitt Clinton I forgot to show, it's a tiny little thing as well. I bought the cable car for about $15 at a train show, great runner and motor. I had fun building my little tram, it fits snug around the Lima motor. Sorry it took so long to reply. Steven.

@@stevenpeaketrainsandstuff3682Hi Steven, No problem, I did my back in putting a Loco on my furthest track and have been laid up for a few weeks so missed a lot of the channels I follow. Good to hear you repaired the broken gear and got the the Loco running again. I had a few split chassis Locos and binned them all due to broken axles and generally rough running. I have a few Bachmann Locos with Can motors and they run quite well but tend to be boggy if not run for a while. For me better detailing than Hornby and good pickups but never as good as Piko or Roco. Looking forward to seeing more of your amazing collection. Cheers, Paul.👍👍👍

@paulvozman842 Mate, backpain is the pits. I hope it is healing, it is quite debilitating. I am currently looking at having a tri level fusion in the near future. I've had 4 ops already cleaning up ruptured discs, this time they want to bolt it together. Not keen on that idea, we shall wait and see. I often thought about selling all my early Bachmann locos, but I never dot around to it. I only recently got my 4 8 4 J Class going, so I decided to keep that one. I have quite a few left to show, which I will get around to soon. Look after yourself mate, Steven.

@@stevenpeaketrainsandstuff3682 Hi Steven, my back problems are nothing compaired to yours, I had 3 injections a week ago which helped. I would not want to go through the ops you have had or about to have. I just got over a very bad ankle injury then my back went, whats next?. Take care keep up the videos when you can. Cheers, Paul.

Hello Steven. I hope you are well. After 5 months off from YT I'm slowly getting back to watching a few videos. It looks like I have missed the start of a layout expansion, can't wait to see what you have in mind. I enjoyed looking at this collection and really liked the Waggon und Maschinenbau railbus. In my youthful days of train spotting I did manage to see the entire set of those. David.

Welcome back David, I was thinking you might call in before the Winter. I am well mate and hope you are too. I am working out a bit of an extension, to create a fiddle yard as it were. I am in the process of retiring from the Qld Police Service, so I shall be in a position to do a bit more quite soon. Heljan did a nice job on that railbus David. It's nicely detailed and runs so quiet. Looking forward to seeing your return to the screen mate, Tuesdays haven't been the same. Steven.

@@stevenpeaketrainsandstuff3682Hi Steven, I am subscribed to you and I have the bell rung but I never get any notifications from YT so seeing your new video I thought I'd better look to see if you had replied to my comments on this one. Any way, long story-short, I'm sorry it's taken me so long to see your reply. I am keeping generally well, (CT scan next week)and glad to hear that you're doing well. Congratulations on the upcoming retirement. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed mine. A fiddle yard is good, I look forward to seeing it. I'm still not ready for a full return to YT but the door is still open. Cheers, David

All good David, it's hard to keep up sometimes. I hope all is well, mate, just look after number 1. You only get 1 crack at being here, so enjoy it. . I am retiring 2 and a half years early, and my back pain will require extensive surgery. I have ruptured discs at a number of levels. I have had 4 previous operations, but i am out of luck this time. It's time for some hardware to go in and bolt it up. I'm not thrilled about it. But anyway, the government physician and my surgeon have classified me medically unfit to continue as a flatfoot. 34 years is enough, i suppose. I won't be wiring layouts anymore. I have enough to live for about 20 years, which I don't expect to see out. The kids can fight over what's left. Steven.

Bachmann is famous for being poor quality back in the 80s and 90s Paul. Axle and gear failure were their specialty. And they never provided a repair option to solve the issue. I still resent them as a brand. Ive got other buses to show yet mate, just have to find them. The home made tram was done with a couple of tongue depressors and sone toothpicks. Should have used enamel paint, acrylic caused the wood to warp. Lesson learned though. Moral of the story, the ugly bus will live, i have found a donor gear to replace the cracked one. Never throw anything out.
