I love when orchestras do this. The surprise, spontaneity, and suspense of what will happen next is so fun & hopefully gets kids interested in the music and the instruments!
@lenbuckholtz2740Ай бұрын
THIS is not spontaneous. not are the piano players presented all over the net. These folks are practiced professionals, and they do this to present their craft and art to the world, and it allows them to 'advertise' what they do and how WELL the do it. and yes, it should be done all over. i really like it.
@dsatt5719 күн бұрын
@ I’m not saying the performance was spontaneous, it took a lot of work to put it together. For the audience it felt spontaneous and magical. I’m hoping that kids will see that playing these pieces can be fun and it will spark an interest.

James Ray Basses aren't that bad--I used to play one. They are, after all, mostly air :-) If you've got to carry one for a ways, you put your hand at the bottom of the upper bout (the wide part at the tope of the body), and where it curves in forms a ledge, tilt it back slightly so the neck is behind you, and it's pretty well balanced. I wouldn't want to walk a couple of miles carrying one, but it's not hard for a reasonable distance.
@almostfm10 жыл бұрын
James Ray They're typically 20-30 pounds, depending on how it's kited out, whether it's a 3/4 size or full-size, etc. It's roughly twice the weight of a bass guitar. Because the body has so much volume, it's "clunky" more than "heavy".
