Back Buttons for the Dualsense! / eXtremeRate Rise Remap Kit!

Own this kit and have used it for a few months now. I'll say that while it is high quality, I would recommend the metal version. My plastic one broke after about 3 months of use (To be fair that was during my playthrough of Elden Ring so it was getting pretty abused lol) but the metal version feels much more solid. It was also my very first soldering project and went perfectly, so the soldering is not too difficult if you decide to do it!

How does that work? The PS5 controller API just accepts new buttons? Can that be done with any Xbox controller too?

They aren't "new" buttons but more like shortcuts to any of the already existing button on the dualsense

i'm sure the API only accepts whatever buttons the dualsense already has. you can't magically add more buttons to support. That also goes for controllers of any other console. :p

@@williamtael8379 because that's just an old Microsoft invention called DirectInput, but that thing is both ancient and problematic because back then game developers and controller manufacturers couldn't unanimously agree on which buttons or which joystick axes should do what in video games. It's not as standardized as they are today.
