As a Mangalorean, I couldn’t help but notice that all the fishes, crabs, quid and any seafood done in Machali is already precooked. They are just coating it with a chosen masala later, probably because of amount of customers they get. The GiriManja’s chefs are cooking every sea food fresh. I would recommend GiriManja’s based on this, if you don’t want to lose out on the natural juices coming out of fish, crab, squid etc., which you may lose if it is precooked.

Dear Mark, you should read this story in history. In the Mahabharata war in India, the King of Udupi undertook the important task of cooking food for all the warriors, who(Udupi king and his soldiers) were fighting without taking actual part in the war. He was cooking food for 50 lakh people every day. So Lord Shri Krishna blessed them that Udupi and nearby areas will always be the foremost in the country of India in terms of food. Hope you like it.❤
