I’m kind of sad not seeing Ruby being made the same fuss out of as the dogs. I have 3 orange cats, they are just the sweetest most wonderful beings . ( I actually lost my 3 other cats this year, my dog 3 years ago and another cat 2 years ago😢) Ruby deserves more attention and love, she’s so cute and loving. She wants cuddles all the time ❤ I love animals and have worked with rescue for years, mostly cats, but also dogs and bunnies. At the most I had 12 cats here, 6 of them kittens, that was an interesting Christmas 😂😂😂

I know! Putting a chocolate/other item wasnt a thing in 1960s/70s. It was always just a tiny seasonal image inside and the final door was a nativity scene. I never saw a chocolate advent calendar before 1980

Love this festive video❤ It’s a balm for my saddened heart! As I’m disabled and in chronic pain ,I haven’t been able to decorate for advent this year, which makes me sad😢 I so wish i managed it myself , but no chance.. usually my daughter helps me. This year my “little baby girl” who moved out last summer , has a 12 days old baby boy🥰 I’m the same age as Stephanie and a single mom to only one daughter. I feel way to young to be a grandma 😂. But he’s such a beautiful tiny baby , born at only 2900 gram . He’s doing great though . I was Born the same size , but had to stay in an incubator for a few weeks. So she’s understandably very busy and still exhausted after a hard delivery. 20 Stiches in the downs stair department and mastitis has made her a bit disabled too, so I have to forego Christmas this year. Very strange as I’ve always , since I was 21 had Christmas for my entire family at my home . We usually had a dinner with traditional Christmas dinners from different countries every Sunday in advent ( a self made tradition) . We eat dinner, light the candle in the advent wreath and watch a Christmas movie together . On the 23d we have homemade pizza and watch “home alone” ( also a family tradition ) after we have decorate the Christmas tree together❤ On the 24th we have Christmas brunch with all the traditional Norwegian homemade savory Christmas food like homemade cold cuts and pates , cured meats, scrambled eggs , cheeses, smoked salmon and different homemade breads and rolls and lefse. The we watch the Disney cavalcade on TV every year. At 5 pm when it’s officially Christmas and the church bells all over the country are ringing it in, we have the big Christmas dinner with pork belly with the ribs and the crispiest of cracking on , Homemade pork sausages and pork patties( both seasoned with Christmas spices. Red cabbage, sauerkraut, gravy, potatoes and lingon berry jam . For dessert there is rice cream ( a kind of rice pudding mixed with whipped cream) with berry sauce. In the evening we open the presents and later( often very late because of the amount of presents 😂) we have the at least 7 kinds of the traditional Christmas cookies and coffee avec. Christmas Day we usually just sleep and eat left overs and watch Christmas movies😂 During Christmas week most families visit with family and friends and eat even more. We don’t have any family left except me, by brother and my daughter and now her partner and the little baby boy❤ I’ll be at my daughters for Christmas Eve and look forward to that. But it will be strange to have an undecorated house, no deep cleaning done and no baking or preparations 😢 I’ll just have to focus on what I have got.. my 3 cats and KZbin 😂 I miss going to a Christmas marked with my daughter, going to the theatre to see a Christmas show and of course going Christmas shopping and having hot cocoa. I know it will never be the same now that I’m all alone. It been hard these last 3 Christmas’s since my mum passed way too young anyway .. now it’s no one here, so I ordered gifts online and try to forget it’s Christmas . I live through watching people having wonderful experiences on KZbin , I love seeing other happy❤ That really helps me through me chronic illness and loneliness, So thank you so much for getting a glimpse into your happiness and festivities ❤

Buying refillable Advent Calendars is smart! Look for small things through the year to fill them. Little Christmas ornaments would last forever. It's hard to believe the whole year has gone! I'm so thankful to be alive, as I had a major health scare this year that almost ended my life! I had a 16cm Tumor that wrapped itself around my Right ovary, kidney, & bladder. It was like a monster. It closed off the blood flow. The ER hospital was sending me home. I was screaming in pain. My granddaughter who graduated a Nursing Assistant, diagnosed me with a Torsion (?). She demanded they do an Ultrasound, where a 16cm tumor was found wrapped around my ovary, kidney, & bladder. 3 Specialist said it had to be cancer bc it came on suddenly. I said absolutely NOT! We kept believing in God's Word, & it wasn't! I thank God that Percy made a miraculous recovery, & Gerry is well,& beloved Mommie. A wonderful celebration! So excited for Advent. ❤️😍 Peggy Vick
