Its was heart breaking when Amaury broke the news about the main joist holding up the floor above the grand saloon, and that its got so much worse since. The dining table was beautifully dressed as was the kitchen table loaded with delights for breakfast. I am sorry to hear such devastating news regards the structure of the most ancient part of the Chateau and also the Chapel being in worse repair than first thought. It is a dream of wonder to live in such a beautiful Chateau but with this comes the shocks and worry of architectural damage. Thank goodness it has been discovered before the walls may have fallen. The marvellous thing about Amaury is that he is well organized, careful. meticulous and when he does something he does it perfectly. He does not waste his time with a "temporary fix " nor "this short cut will suffice for now". His level of pre- research to check out the potential options and then choose the best solution must be awesome.
