There was a book written around 1960 called DOOR INTO SUMMER. The writer had a cat that hated bad, cold weather. He would go to every outside door in the house and demand to be let out. He took one look at the nasty outside condition and march back into the house. He didn't stop until every opened door proved the outside condition was the same at every door. He would stomp off to a warm corner with disgust and sleep the day away!

I’m 65 and my grandfather was an engineer and had several patents. He built a train from scratch probably in the 1940s. My Mom and aunt would go to bed on Christmas Eve and when they got up in the morning, the train was running around the base of the tree and Santa had come. After two kids and being Santa for years, I’m still awed my grandparents did this.
