I'm really liking this backrooms lore, this is a theory someone commented on the original video, it's like how the backrooms tries to replicate the real world, but doesn't understand how it's all put together, like it knows there are furniture like couches, chairs and desks but it just puts 10 of those randomly in one room, or how there are stairs signals besides a door but there's no stairs after. Mold as well, like mold is a living thing but isn't supposed to be a walking, weird creature. (From the comments I understood that the guy who chased after Robbie was a human infected with bacteria. That it's a bacteria from previous episodes that reanimated a dead body.) Again these are just theories but it's just so interesting to read every possibility.

Yeah, it seems to be like a glitchy replica, I really like that. It is basically "what if the uncanny valley was a place" =D I am not a fan of detailed lore like "bacteria now infect people" and stuff, I prefer my weird uncanny place to just be unexplained :D

depends on how long you're stuck in there I probably woiuldn'T try scavenging food or anything if I got lost for 5 minutes and thought I'd probably find my way out in about as mcuh time again but in the long run you don't really have a choice

@@JulianDanzerHAL9001 I mean, yeah. Starving is an awful way to go, and it's human nature to want to not starve. But I really wouldn't trust anything in the Backrooms to not have weird properties. I'd be terrified to put something from there in my body.

I'm not sure I understand why people get scared by horror stuff. I've been afraid of fighting people, I've been afraid on behalf of others, but movies games real life "super natural" stuff has never scared me. Irl I find it more interesting than fear invoking. Like seriously if you saw a irl ghost, bro I'm checking that shit out is it physical can you interact with it, and more importantly can you communicate with it. Same with aliens, "monsters" whatever like seriously am I just out of the norm on this but wouldn't most of us want to observe and figure out whatever "scary" thing actually is? Eh it's probably a me thing. Sucks I can't enjoy the irrational fear of stuff like this but eh to each their own.

Yeah, most fears are based on very small pattern recognition and mismatches :D I never was scared of the stuff you are afraid of, funnily. I find it fascinating that it is so different for people. Like in this one, I completely lost the fear after seeing it was "just a human" =D

This is Suspense and Terror (the feeling of dread and anticipation that precedes a horrifying experience), not Horror (the emotional response to something that has already happened and is often gruesome or shocking).

Yes, I was more referring to the moviue category, but fully agree. terror is actually better in my mind to describe it. In school I learned it was a sequence of "heavyness": "spooky -> scary -> horror -> terror", but then again that was german teachers trying to teach my words and it might not be correct =) P.S.: Hope you are doing well, did not see oyu in a while and hope everything is alright =)

@storieswithstyle A pre-warp civilization are using nuclear ICBMs to slow a passing meteor, intending to mine it. The third one doesn't go off as planned, and if the meteor doesn't slow down it'll crash into the planet instead of achieving stable orbit. Does the Starfleet crew secretly observing trigger the missile in time, or stick to the letter of the Prime Directive? What's happening on the planet? What does the other alien race observing in secret think of the situation?
