@szymondudzinski6661 yes, but the comment was talking about local difficulty. Letting the scapula retract is easier on the scapula but makes the movement much harder.

Also, if you are a beginner, do it pronated first and be really careful with supinated.

Which one is he training on the video? I know the difference between them but he flips 180 and it depends from which side you are looking at it. On rings he passes through neutral i. The middle ... For me, the supinated (when I hold the bar my palms are facing me) one was much easier to achieve, and I'm slowly working my way towards the pronated one.

This movement, while it does look impressive, actually requires a lot less strength than for example the front lever and the planche. I could personally do roughly 15 pull ups when I achieved it. Pulling strength is less relevant however as it mainly stresses the chest, shoulders and biceps. Much of the effort in training for the movement initially needs to be towards getting comfortable in this rather awkward position. If you should chose to train this I wish you best of luck.

Idk why but I dont see back lever impressive. I know its not hard and it looks like u gripping strong idk compared to front lever maybe its only in my head but front lever seems like your body is very long and u look like flying. (I workout for 2 years but I cant do full fl yet)@@Ace-ep5yu

What are your thoughts on Skin the Cat? I think it might bring benefits for both the front and back lever.

It is. tuck back is an isometric of a skin, the cat. If you want to train both front and back lever at the same time, then skin the cats are a way to go. Straighten the legs/go into a pike as you get better.

Skin the cat wont help with front lever. There is special thing called upside down deadlift look up in chris heria videos. Its the same thing like skin the cat but for front lever because it works back muscles that are fundamentals in holding front level and skin the cat vice versa

Daniel, what do you think about anterior shoulder pain (rotator cuff) with back lever training? This is something that happens to me with dip training as well indicating to me that there's just some impingement that not ideal for my anatomy. For years I've just not done these exercises and I have been free of shoulder pain. Thoughts? Thanks!

It mainly uses typical push muscles and biceps but the pull/push definition isn’t really accurate for levers

Would incline curls witg dumbells help with tendon condtioning or is there a better alternative?

Yes, they help a lot! Preacher curls also do the job if you fully extend at the bottom (be sure to go light on weight and progress steadily). Also, gymnasts do some straight arm exercises with dumbbells that have direct carryover to skills. You can go to the Gymnast Method channel to check them out

The effects are that low they are none. Test isnt real. U lose some calories to produce next army and u feel exhausted but it doesnt really affect your progress. Doing 2 more push ups will have more impact on you then nut
