Glad to see you back on the Florida trail Kelly! You got this, we all are rooting for you! Will you ever do a video to explain what was the previous safety issue was?
@jonnyboom5993
@jonnyboom5993 Жыл бұрын
She is more safe hiking with just her boyfriend than with 20 people. Thru hikers know the safety issue. Day hikers who watch her channel and arent on thru hikers forums dont need to know. Dont question or she'll turn the comments off.
@jonnyboom5993
@jonnyboom5993 Жыл бұрын
@S. M. She turned off the comments in the video prior to this one. People commented concerns that she should tell the safety issue so prospective would know. She said she would not tell on this platform and thru hikers know anyway.

Yay!! So happy you're back to finish with James!! I learned something interesting, because of you, when visiting my in-laws for Easter. When exploring their property near Brooksville, my husband actually found FL trail markers and then my daughter spotted the orange blazes on poles! They've lived there over 20 yrs and we hadn't realized the trail practically goes through their backyard! 😁 Thank you for sharing your adventures!

Hi Kelly! I'm a new subscriber, but I did follow several of your videos last year while you were on the PCT. My friends Jonah and his wife Courtney were on trail about the same time, so I followed a few different thru hikers. Anyway, good luck on your Florida Trail. Looks like you are off to a good start after your break. Earlier this year I was driving through Jullian after doing a day hike and picked up James Hoher (Jupiter Hikes). He had just finished a few days on trail (not sure which one), so I drove him to San Diego to get his car. I learned he had the FKT for the Florida Trail. I think 28 days and 10 hours. Pretty impressive! Anyway, congrats on your getting back out there. Gook luck on your finish!

I’m also an older guy. I think I could do 30 in a day on flat ground, with tons of daylight (maybe.) But, it would probably take me down for days. Having said that, when I was younger, I never tried more than 20. It’s fun to watch you guys, and you motivate me to stretch more miles. Right now, I walk 7 miles on most days, but soon I’ll try a longer one.
