what kind of pin backings do you have and do they keep the pins in place without the fear of them falling out ??

I believe they are called safety pin back locks. I found them on amazon a while ago and they work great! Haven't lost any pins yet. Only down side is that sometimes you get duds in the pack. Its easy to tell they are duds cuz they dont lock and fall right off. Just toss them. Its say I get a few duds with each box but they are pretty cheap

I use locking pin backs i got recently it comes with a small wrench, screw, and the pin locks. You put the small screw on the wrench and screw it in the pin locks and it started to tighten around the pin. Some people say it breaks the needle of the pin itself for them and I almost had that happen but my two pins were low quality that’s why lol. The background noise isnt noticable at all, but if it gets worse, you could always dub over it afterwards when it calms down at night. Also, the traveling water color brushes, who makes those?!

Questions about pins: Won't they puncture your bag causing it to have holes and letting the water in when it gets wet? Thank you.

From my own experience, not really! The holes are too small for any water to sink through. However, puncture holes can lower the resell value if you’re considering reselling your bag in the future!

I disagree. Purchased one of these, and have other bags in the same price range.. and guess what.. after a lot of use (and I don’t baby my bags, they get thrown around and all), and my Kankens have outlived every other bag. Most other bags last about 2-3 months before they start showing wear and tear (fraying stitching, peeling faux leather etc), meanwhile my Kankens still look brand new, not a single rip, tear or anything

For the longevity of my 11 year Kanken bag it was well worth the price that has exceeded the price. The quality of the bag has gone through the tests of college campus, several semesters, local and international travel. Cleaning the bag is simple utilizing a brush, mild detergent and air dry. Using greenland wax brings back the protection of the material and water resistance. The Kanken still holds it shape and has not frayed while other bags have slowly deteriorated after 3-4 years of use.
