Thank you Sir! I enjoy your videos and they have helped me remember some basics that seemed to have fallen by the way side. Your making a deference with peoples training. Soon to turn 69 years young I find myself sometimes falling into bad habits that I don't even realize till I am ask to help a student and have to think how it's supposed to be done. I like going back to basics, it's sometimes humbling to realize you forgot parts. Only been doing Taekwondo for 6 years and should have tested for my 2nd degree by now but life and money got in the way, I'm ready but got to wait on the testing fee. My instructor and friend would let it slide till I could pay later but I don't like doing that. Thank you again, will be watching a lot of your videos.

Yes, it's always important to practice basics. It's the foundation for all the advanced techniques. No problem if you have to delay your testing. What's important is that you maintain the will to improve, no matter what age or ability.

I do not know if there is already a table of contents for your videos, but if there is I probably missed it. I tried the page named "videos" in your site, but it is totally unresponsive, likely not ready yet? I believe we definitely need a comprehensive list of all your videos, color coded for different categories as already established. You may upload the links on your site and let us enjoy the videos here in KZbin, but enabling us to revise everything needed when necessary.

I will be redoing my website. A list contents is a good idea. I will make sure it is included in the new website.

How do you spar someone who all he uses is side kick. I cant get around it because he does it really fast and one i try to move away he sees where i move and then he hits me with it.
@DonatoNardizzi6 жыл бұрын
You need good footwork to get sudden lateral movement. Watch my Sparring drills #14 video. It shows you how check so you don't get hit. Then move sideways to get a good angle to attack. If the opponent approaches you with side kicks use dodging motions I show in Sparring Drills #18 and #19. I will make more videos like this in future.

How do you over power your opponent when he is bigger and stronger than me?
@DonatoNardizzi6 жыл бұрын
You need to be quicker and tactically smarter. That will come with more training and experience.

Hi GM, what do I need to improve on in sparring?
@DonatoNardizzi6 жыл бұрын
There are many aspects to improving sparring. Here are some key tips: 1) Develop good footwork so you can change direction quickly. Not just forward and backwards but also sideways and digonally. 2) Be fast. It doesn't matter what you do. If you do it slowly it will not work. If you outpace your opponent you have a huge advantage. 3) Recover your position when attacking by withdrawing attacking limb quickly. 4) Be deceptive. For example, move forward suddenly when you look like you are going to retreat. Or move left suddenly when you look like you are going right. Hesitate you punches and kick, or hesitate your kick and punch instead. I could go on forever with more tips. Practice a lot of drills. Watch my sparring drills videos. Good luck.

Is there a spinning side kick in any ITF tull?
@DonatoNardizzi4 жыл бұрын
The only spinning side kick in tuls is mid-air kick which is a flying version of the kick. Some tuls have back kick which involves spinning but the kick is performed slightly differently to a side kick.

Which Tul is that? I don't recall.
