It’s the type of season that is documentary worthy. All the adversity with Soroka, Ozuna and Acuna just to name a few. Being under .500 the majority of the year. Completely retooling their outfield at the deadline. And even guys like Minter, who struggled so much in the regular season, was sent down for a long time, and is now a complete shutdown guy. And Tyler Matzek who’s career was on the brink of extinction and was a security guard to now being a literal ATL legend.

Was at this game with my dad and childhood best friend. We were in standing room only in left field. I have never felt more energy in a stadium than after these back to back blasts. I actually think championships are a bigger deal when you are a child or teenager. When you are a grown adult, a favorite team winning a championship doesn’t change our lives personally, your team wins a chip, and it's back to work, you don't get any of the money, you don't get a ring or trophy....but seeing a championship as a kid can really elevate a kids world.

My Dad worked all the time, but once when I was about 7 or 8, he took my brother and I to a Braves night game. At the time, Joe Torre was the catcher. The game went in to extra innings and we had to go because my Dad had to get up early for work.We listened to the game on our 1964 Plymouth Valiant radio on the drive home. Just as we were pulling in our driveway, Joe Torre hit a homer to win the game!

It was incredible. The chant, the energy. I was there. I’ve been to easily dozens of Braves games in my life. This tops them all. It was a cold, damp, drizzling day and a slow game up until the 7th. You could feel the energy of the crowd building and wanting to come out, but with nothing to cheer for yet. That first Dansby HR lit the stove, then Jorge’s shot threw gas on it and it was electric for EVERY pitch from that point on. Was an incredible night at Truist. Go Braves!
