Back to Basics: An argument for Organic Food Food is an intrinsic part of our everyday lives. Yet, with our busy schedules and fast paced lives, we no longer seem to have the time to prepare home cooked meals or to have dinner with our loved ones. We now tend to eat alone with the company of our phones and we now eat unconsciously, without considering the impact our food choices have on our health and the environment. In her talk, Daniela examines how our current eating habits and food production methods pose a threat to our relationship with each other and specially, with our planet. By promoting and consuming sustainably grown food we can reduce the damage we have done to the environment and preserve it for future generations. As consumers, we can easily protect planet Earth, one bite at a time.
Daniela Garabito is a 17-year-old, grade 12 student at St Mary Catholic Secondary School. Due to her parents’ jobs, Daniela has been able to spend her childhood and adolescence living in various cities in Canada and Colombia. This experience has allowed her to acquire a love for travel, culture, and foreign languages. Daniela is also passionate about politics and debating. She has participated in various Model United Nations conferences, federal and provincial politics programs for youth, and recently at the National Student Commonwealth Forum in Ottawa. These programs have motivated her to become an advocate for animal rights, LGBTQ rights, and sustainable development. Daniela aspires to pursue a degree in Economics and later specialize in agricultural or development economics. Daniela is very excited to have the opportunity to hear the astounding and breathtaking talks at this year's TEDxstmarycss event.

Enough with the environmental BS. Spend time researching all the different "climate crises" that have been promoted by "science" and the government over the last 70 years. How many of those crises actually manifested? Hint: NONE.

What are you on about dude she barely even brought up the climate? You'd rather herbicides get sprayed everywhere?? And climate crises are still happening, use your eyes, if you're talking about the ozone hole they banned CFCs and it's almost fully recovered now, the government doesn't even have a good reason to lie about climate change in the first place
