Rookie move with the bench cookies buddy.😁 Now you can buy a "clean" set. Looking forward to finished burst.

Wow, this is exactly the tutorial I need right now! I have a "mahogany" import 2-piece body, and want to do a burst-ish finish. Need to find some water based dyes here in the US that won't break the bank. I like your method of smoothing the color out with a wet cloth, and then adding another coat of the amber. Makes it look anything but half-assed, like I've seen others do.

What I have done in the past is cut out some French curves from cardboard and used those as a mask in my hand a few inches from the body while I am spraying the black in the corner curves and then run the straight edges free hand. it stops any overspray after the edge line.

I love the lines on the sides, a bit disapointed you covered it with black.anyway, this pine looks great to me, sure it’s going to be gorgeous!

you had mentioned that the "shed" was a bit cold.. did you happen to immerse the can of lacquer in a hot water bath before spraying? it seems to help prevent spitting and allows for more even spray coverage .. she is looking great.. cant wait to see how you go about the top and back spray of the black.. not easy without a proper gun.. !!

Good grief, surely you need a mask for that filthy stuff?
