I glimpse on my shows and showrooms during Paris fashionweek ss24, all have one thing in common, that we couldn't oversee in any of the other fashionweek countries as well. Back to good classics. (Back to bedbugs and people going crazy that Pamela Anderson is not wearing make-up, truly medieval thoughts). Back to fashion. And no not the quiet luxury kind, not the maximalist kind, but back to good stuff. Good fabrics, good quality, good people and good clothes. Milan Fashionweek tried it, but Paris proved it.

@tubaavalon1795 ofcourse, but I can also see some shows where some pieces will just rely on the "ideal" body proportions and face, and even the walk that the models possess, in order to try and overlay these attractive and pleasing characteristics to the clothing. I'm not saying this is done everywhere and all the time, but I see it as amateur and lacking creativity and quality design. For me, fashion should be about the dream of possessing a look and the reality of actually having that look. I think that's why Margiela and Demna in Balenciaga, covered the faces of models, and sometimes they wear these "baggy" fits, or clothes that are like uniforms that hide your body, and Balenciaga now uses celebrities more frequently that, let's face it, they may be attractive, but they don't have the "ideal" proportions for a model, but the clothes still work. In industrial design and even graphic design, there is a principle where the product or work, in order to be good at its core, it must not rely on specific things like variables and unique qualities and traits in order to work and be good. I think that this mistake actually makes the clothes into models, and the models (people) into dummies, which, in my view, completely destroys the dream and just makes it into a fantasy Sry for the essay 😅
