Good to see you posting. I'm over the hills at Mukdahan in middle of a build 1.7 rai largish 3 bedroom house. Living onsite built a one bed bedsit office and outside kitchen to keep us going whilst the build underway. Gotta go back to the Uk to search out some contact work next month. It is what it is but OMg I'll miss Thai food, culture and of course me family. Good luck to you

I really want to relocate to Thailand (or south east Asia at least) again. I used to live in Thailand in 2009-2010. By now however I have a wife, child and business. I actually have a similar business to you, as I do social recruiting in Germany. I was wondering how you organise yourself, is your business registered in the UK and how is customer acquisition working from a remote location with that sort of time difference? Would love it if you had a little feedback!

I think relocating to SEA is a 50/50 you either love the place so much you will make it work or you don't quite love it enough to give up everyone you've grown up knowing. I sway a lot more to the first option but do have days were I think about the 2nd but thats normal and just keeping it real. If your wife is thai then things can actually proceed pretty easily if not then there's a lot more thought that has to go into it but doesn't make it impossible. Business comes with lots of struggles not actually being there on the ground in the UK but it certainly still works and COVID actually made this even easier as doing zoom meetings is very normal now. I have a company set up in both countries. The UK company is the face of the operation and deals with our clients, while outsourcing the work load to our Thai company. Time zone for us just means we start work in the afternoon and finish in the night. Not the best but also not the worse

@@lifeinisan well apart from Thailand I also lived in the UK 16 years as well as Nigeria after Brexit, so there are not many childhood friends left in Germany anyway. As it being my home country, it was just a safe heaven during Covid. I definitely tend to no 1 big time, but the problems are different if you have a family and relocating isnt as easy as it once was. But also the visa issues in Thailand is something else as it is very hard to build something and then potentially have it taken away by beaurocracy . ..which is why I currently tend more towards Cambodia...tho I still have a few friends left in Thailand and I just loved it while I was there. I know the school system is definitely something I wouldn't worry about putting my daughter in as well as the healthcare system being great (given you have the right insurance or wallet). I still remember Thailand as having slow (or ridiculously expensive) internet, but I would assume and hope that this has changed in the last 14 years. But yeah, the business and money making side of things combined with the Visa issues is something that is definitely an issue. As well as the fact that one can't really buy property there and own it! (you should really look into that idea you had in the other video to buy land and see if you can then put together very long lease agreements with Farangs. They can finance it for you and after 50-100 years it will go back to your family).
