ABOUT KEVIN CHAPMAN
I'm a 39 year old KZbinr from the UK. I've got a cracking beard and I'm currently going through the autism diagnosis process. I started this channel back in 2017 and by the time I left my full-time job as a Computer Science teacher in July of that year, my partner Anna was trapped in our house by our son Andy, who is autistic and had refused to go to school for 18 months. Our daughters Lucy and Amy and our dog Dave hardly saw me because I was always working to try and solve all our problems! Today I'm a full-time content creator and always at home when the kids get home from school (all our kids!) and Anna has been able to return to university. This channel is the story of my ongoing journey! Previously known as lollujo Vlogs and The Chapman Family.

dropping this in the comments as im curious whether anyone else is having the same problem that i am - for probably the past week now all of kevin's videos which would usually have been the first thing on my youtube homepage in the past (i don't really watch any other channels regularly so its always one of the top things in my recommendations) have stopped showing up, they still show in subscriptions but i just found it weird as they used to always be straight on my homepage the second that they were released in the past and its meant that I've ended up missing some videos if i forget to check my subscriptions and I'm just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows a way of fixing this?

As much as he's enjoying the bus, the longer trips may actually be great, in the afternoon especially, to wind him down and have him start to decompress slightly rather than the transitions being so quick and thus having less time to process it all! All in all it seems like a great start to back to school and i couldn't be more happy for him to be having such a good time with it all!

Thanks for sharing your lives.😁 I really enjoy watching. We have a 12 year old son with autism, and also I have a 23 year old son with autism. I also have a 27 year old not on the spectrum, she's a teacher. Hubby is on the spectrum diagnosed by a mental health nurse but doesn't have the full diagnosis. That's a whole other process as you know. We both work in special educational needs as well in further education so relate well to the stories you share. Take care😊

It’s been 13 years since I left school but I used to travel by coach as I went to a privately paid school called The Gregg School in Swaythling and I live in Warsash so a coach was the only way to get there since my dad stopped driving years ago. The whole trip was 1/2 hr to 45 mins long. I’m so glad it’s not too far and not a long trip for Andy and glad he had a good first day back. 👍🏻🙂

Started back at school in July and I am transitioning back into full days at school again soon. I am a little worried about how it is going to go but hopefully it goes well. Like the new aids to work with me at school and my new friends that I’ve made because they merged two buildings together. One of my friends really likes donuts and things like that from At the gas station. Donuts and pop. Another one of my friends likes doing arts and crafts and watching movies. And another one likes to color. I’m really enjoying the way they’ve beat things up and got things more organized at school now since reopening. My three new friends are somewhat nonverbal. I go to a program that they call life from Richmond for people with disabilities. It’s really good. To me in school more than it is anything else. It’s not really a school per se but I still love being there. Call like Andy, I also like riding regular school buses. I have a regular school bus that’s a special-needs bus that I ride in to school and my favorite thing about school is riding the bus. I’m glad he enjoys it too. Hopefully he continues enjoying being at school with Miss Cherry N being on a proper bus.

@@kevinchapmanvlog There's also a shortage of HGV drivers in the UK due to a combination of post-Brexit EU immigration rules, Covid-19 restrictions and self-isolation guidance. Also wanting a better pay and work conditions :)

Oh, boy, you are in for a lesson, my friend. Now, the EU is the regulator of the food we get and before, our lorry drivers could easily transport food and goods from Calais and Dover without the restrictions, due to freedom of movement. Since Brexit was voted, There are now new restrictions to the point where the EU drivers have basically dove back. So now, because of that, and a combination of the Covid restrictions, we now have food shortages on certain products.

@@charlottevicarage1331 I don't disagree there are some holes in the supermarket shelves due to brexit (here in Glasgow there are a couple of my usual grocery items, mainly fizzy water, that I'm struggling to get but other than that the shelves are pretty much full) but I can't see why that in its self has anything to due with the actual grocery home delivery slots.
