Totally agree! You guys may not have the highest number of subscribers atm, but you definitely have the most loyal! I swear by you guys and only watch golf instruction from Porzak Golf! I’ll do a swing review soon just out of appreciation for all the content in KZbin. Cheers!

Man, the level of knowledge this man gives away is insane… You can literally learn how to play golf just from his tutorials…

I love how you don’t try to force a new drill or swing thought each video. I’ve seen enough of “hit it 15 yards further with this tweak”. Instead just real lessons with genuine knowledge peppered throughout. Really enjoy it and feel like I’m learning a ton.
@guillermor.58622 жыл бұрын
Totally! No new “magic trick to pure your irons” in each video, just consistently fixating the same key fundamentals and drills with slight adjustments depending on the player.

This was such a great lesson. Truly amazing how important the setup and posture is. Played 9 holes immediately after watching 55 degree day and wind and was three over with two missed birdies. Absolute games changer. Best I have felt all season, Thanks Adam!! I do think you are the best instructor on youtube.

Probably putting a curse on my game now but my understanding of the golf swing has rocketed upwards and this is reflected in the shots I hit. All the other instruction from pros in person now kinda makes sense but only now does it all link together. I was lucky to have a few lessons from a top teacher here in UK which made a massive difference- he was the only one who was using same methods as Porzak Golf. Hogan now makes sense. A top elite pro coach in UK has had clips on youtube but is too complex comes nowhere near this level of clarity. Just don’t see the point of any other youtube golf instruction now that I have found this! Have shared with a few friends and family who have all benefited and rate this highly. Always looking forward to the next clips or even going back over previous ones for reinforcement . Brilliant brilliant stuff.

I recognize Mason from the Good Good matches. This guy smashes the ball and can hit wedges close. He's got a real chance to make it. Hope there's more videos with his lessons.

I came across Porzak Golf (KZbin) a few days ago and have spent some time watching AP's videos. Over the past couple years, I've spent a considerable amount of time watching golf instruction videos on youtube and I have to say AP's instruction methods are the best I've seen. I'd enjoy watching a video on how to cure the dreaded "Early Extension" if there's one here.

@@PorzakGolf the whole set up, pocket back, heel grounded, no straightened leg. But describing the balance ratios front/back and from the side with hip bump is something I’d not seen in detail anywhere else. I’m a fan of mr porzak and his impeccable manner.
@scottschenk17592 жыл бұрын
AP hammers and hits on loading your swing and that right leg better than anyone in the game. Probably more importantly how to set yourself up to do it. As a former NCAA athlete, it feels like the most unathletic thing I could do over the golf ball. I set up very much like this student, and literally same issues Adam raised in the lesson. You’re the man AP!

As you no doubt already know Pete Cowen advocates that same setup method to get into posture. You do a good job of explaining why that is a good position to be in at address. What would you say the pressure feels like during the setup and swing with regard to the legs when done correctly? The old industry teaching used to be to put weight on the balls of the feet (maybe because thats what was done in other sports), but that put pressure on the knees and made a lot of people shift toward the ball to target line during the swing. That pressure on the knees is probably why a lot of the old guys probably had to have knee surgeries late in their careers. Weight on the balls of the feet is okay for an activity where you want to move towards falling on your face (run forward, jump off a diving board, etc), but we don't want that in golf, right? Would you say you start with balance forward of your ankles at setup, and then shift onto them during the swing, or is there a way to start with the pressure starting over them, and staying balanced over them while swinging?

I've watched this video multiple times and has helped eliminate my sway in the backswing. With wedge setup, you say 70/30 after hip bump. Just to clarify, does the 70/30 pressure maintain through the entire swing? I ask because the front foot post with back leg bent and back drill, feels like the 70/30 would be maintained throughout. As always, amazing content.

For an older player nothing better than dropping your trail foot back a little at address to buy you more turn in the backswing!
