I just found your channel 2 days ago. I used to have a vegetable garden several years ago but stopped because of a move and having kids. Just a few days ago I saw a little old lady selling veggies out of her garden. I stopped and bought a few. I came home and started writing down a list of everything I needed to start a garden asap. I feel such a draw to start gardening again, that same day I built a garden bed, filled it and planted 3 different veggies! It just felt like a sense of urgency. What you said is so on point! I absolutely love your devotionals and your wisdom. You are an inspiration and I really wish you were my neighbor! Haha

I come to the garden alone, While the dew is still on the roses, And the voice I hear falling on my ear, The Son of God discloses... And He walks with me, and He talks with me, And He tells me I am His own, And the joy we share as we tarry there, None other, has ever, known!

"For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse" (Romans 1:20). I feel closest to God when I'm in His creation. Gardens, mountains, oceans -- everything in nature has been created by Him. We were created to live in a garden, in harmony with nature. That's where our souls yearn to be. Those who see God's hand in snowflakes and hummingbirds and tomatoes truly live in relationship with Him.

I've learned over the years that God puts us where he wants us... And I know thru all trials thru life that God had a hand on everything driving and holding the wheel thru it all. God knows the long term while we look at the now and the moment... Looking to God for all things and asking for the right path of his will keeps us on the right path. Thank you for letting your light shine.

Not sure if you are familiar with this poem by Robert Frost, but it definitely resonates with what you spoke about ... God made a beauteous garden With lovely flowers strewn, But one straight, narrow pathway That was not overgrown. And to this beauteous garden He brought mankind to live, And said: 'To you, my children, These lovely flowers I give. Prune ye my vines and fig trees, With care my flowerets tend, But keep the pathway open Your home is at the end.' Then came another master, Who did not love mankind, And planted on the pathway Gold flowers for them to find. And mankind saw the bright flowers, That, glitt'ring in the sun, Quite hid the thorns of av'rice That poison blood and bone; And far off many wandered, And when life's night came on, They still were seeking gold flowers, Lost, helpless and alone. O, cease to heed the glamour That blinds your foolish eyes, Look upward to the glitter Of stars in God's clear skies. Their ways are pure and harmless And will not lead astray, Bid aid your erring footsteps To keep the narrow way. And when the sun shines brightly Tend flowers that God has given And keep the pathway open That leads you on to heaven.

This is beautiful and reminds me that I was reluctant to start a garden (failure, lack of knowledge, time) but it started with a seed. There is a path to walk to get to the garden, putting faith and trust in Our Heavenly Father is the first step. It's a gradual step but I recognize He is giving me what's needed and He gives us all when we seek. Oh I did put an egg in the hole, and the tomatoes are growing, one 7ft! Thank you for your time❤

Is it silly that I want to be your best friend, (earthly one, that is)? I cry when I discover others who share the same love for God and His creation that I have. I am radically in love with Jesus! I don't know about you, but I have been strongly sensing a shift in the spirit that is so tangible. It's almost like I'm in another realm of His glory,--closer to Him, you could say. I've also been listening to Daniel's worship and just loving the beauty of his soul crying out for the oil of intimacy and to "Make Me Like a Child Again!" This is what I am experiencing, like seeing the world with fresh eyes and wonder and discovering life anew!!! While I am experiencing His presence in a whole new way, I am still longing for a body of believers who worship Him in Spirit AND in truth! Please pray that we will find other like-minded fire filled believers that we can glean from and be sharpened with. Zeal with Knowledge!!! Other than wanting to walk worthy unto God in all pleasing, my most passionate desire right now is to fellowship with others who desire the same and want to receive and walk in all that He died to give us!

Even if it isn't the lord, you inspire me to want to love something as much as you love god. You make my heart sing, and give me the motivation to keep going for my dreams. Keep being you, Jess. You're a wonderful person. I love your channel/videos and I talk about you all the time... "I watch homesteading videos and this lady just got TWELVE alpacas!"... Jess_______ what can I say. Oh My what beauty, what a wonderful look into our Beloved, Our Creator, The Garden, everyday life. I too have ask God many, many questions though out my life. I talk to Him just like I do my family, friends and each stranger I meet. I Have Always Loved Him, Leaned On Him, Trusted Him, He is truly my Beloved, My First Love, My True Love. ( I am in my mid 60's) I told my favorite aunt many years ago that we needed to go back in time grow our food raise our meats in the fashion He, God Intended. Another words back in more ways than one but each lead to our Beloved, His loving arms In the Garden of His Love. That Garden Is Truly Within Each and Everyone of Us. I Seek His guidance, I desire to know Him In All That He Is. You are spot on girlfriend, I am setting here in awe of your beautiful reflections of reality within the kingdom of our Creator, God. I too think everything around us reflects the truth of who He Truly Is, What His Passion Is, It Is Us, His Desire To Be Near Us, Too Rest In Us. We are His Completion, We Complete Him, I Think You Understand What I Mean, Complete In Him and He In Us... I Bless You and Yours!!!!!

Your words touched me and has encouraged me to strive to reach out to God more and to try harder not to be closed off to him (even self-consciously due still to a deep hurt with him for taking my son) I have GOT to overcome and reach for God with my arms opened wide! Thank you for this! This has been a turbulent year and recently I've been feeling a bit bewildered. Not lost, per say, but having that feeling of "okay, what next? What am I supposed to do next?" This devotional points out to me that allowing god to come rest in me is exactly "what's next." I have a broken water main, still have to get a small barn built, finish putting in the fall gardens, and have basically no income, but right now, right this minute, I need to go back to my original purpose on this earth. He will show me what to do from there. You know, I know you guys have said your not interested in starting a ministry of your own right now, but what I think you might be missing is that you already have. The way you conduct your lives and share them with us is a ministry in and of itself. Your ministry has 185 thousand members right now and is growing. You both speak with such faith and such raw honesty that people are simply going to follow you. You are amplifying and multiplying God's resting places with what you're doing. I thank and bless you for that. ~Candes

Without God, there is no such thing as faith. Faith is the same as hope. You cannot hope in anything except an omnipotent, intelligent, personal being who is alive and active in your life. Faith placed in anything else besides God is just empty wishful thinking. "For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse . . . [But] they [have become] fools . . . and [have] exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and [are worshipping] and [serving] created things rather than the Creator" (Romans 1).

God has many names and having faith in “The name of God” or in a higher being, is believing in a higher power and when you believe in God or a higher power isn’t this believing in God? Again God has many names. If this person speaks of another faith then they also pray to a higher power AKA GOD.

@brendaschafer4295 жыл бұрын
Christina Lake your nice comment was not nice at all it was condescending to someone of another faith. We all pray to the same being above but we don’t call on “GOD” by the same name. Again GOD goes by many names.

Me too, Me too, I ask God questions and know when He answers in all kinds of ways. Umm, speaking of dreams, I woke up this am after dreaming you had a commercial on the TLC network. I don’t watch much TV so it was strange. I also thought in my dream oh, no, this is or was Jon and Kate’s network. Lord, protect Jess and Jeremiah. So weird I had that dream but not far fetched I do believe you all could have that one day, I just hope and pray whatever network offers you all a contract (one day) allows or points to these devotional times with you instead of trying to quiet them. I don’t think u and Miah would allow that, just want all that multiplication to reach others like it has reached me and your other followers. So relate to this particular devotion, as a Mom, as someone who served and got church hurt hard. I just never made that complete connection of what am I placing over me as my government in my heart, mind and life. I love that you pointed out what you did, I also think of us as living sanctuary’s for His presence, but I love the mental visual you gave.. oh, so good. Love you lady hoping ur upcoming trip brings many kisses from heaven for you and your family! ❤️🙏🏼🙌🏼

This could not have come at a better time. I have had so many losses this year, I have been a empty shell. The doctors said I am fighting borderline pneumonia for the last three weeks. Hard to breath, no energy to hardly speak above a whisper. To be honest it felt like my spirt was just giving up. Thank You for Your Devotional. It gave my spirt food for thought. Something I have not had in a long time. I was starving for something to hold on to. You gave me a garden of food for thought. Thank You again Sweet Child Of God. You make him so Very Proud Of You.

You are a breath of fresh air! Never change who God has called you to be, and don't be afraid to share " your" heart, it's so attractive. Blessings on you.

Im not sure I can put into words what Im feeling after watching this. So much wisdom and truth. It may seem cliche, but I have to tell you the Lord was just teaching me this. The parables of the garden and seed multiplication etc. You just pulled all of this together for me in my mind. Now it is in line with what I have been feeling. This time, he used you to answer my questions! How beautiful is that? Praise God. I have admired you for some time now. I have learned many practical things about gardening as well. Today, you truly feel like my sister in Christ. Thank you so much for everything you do for us, and the Lord. You are so beautiful. A glorius, precious flower in the garden. Prayers for you always.

I’m just like you... I totally get everything you are saying because I’ve said the same things. Through gardening I e seen my faith grow so much stronger because the Father in heaven is teaching through nature. It’s just amazes me so much.

I’m watching this now in September 2021 and you talking about people getting back to the garden and thinking about when Covid happened in March/April of 2020. I wish I had seen this when you published it because it’s like God told us thru you that we needed to get in the garden and grow food and become closer to him again as we should be. I love your devotionals there is always something in what you say that speaks to me. I know myself that I need to be closer to God and I’m working on it. Thank you so much. Have a blessed day. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👩🏻🌾🌱💕
