Lived in suburbia all my life. You probably hear this quite a bit, but your videos really make me appreciate all the work that goes into farming and the food chain in America that benefits everyone. I've shown some of your videos to my young daughters because I want them to understand how hard farmers work and that the food on the table doesn't get there by magic. Thanks for your videos and all you do! 😊

Thanks for all you do! Im 57, farm raised, living in downtown Rochester, Mn. Stepped into a prominent drug store here in downtown Mayo Clinic one day in search of an Old Farmers Almanac. Knew they stocked them only to hear from the patriarch of the establishment. "Sent them back- wouldnt sell in this store- no farmers round here" Had to laugh. Told the fella Sir, I disagree. Im looking at a farmet right in front of me...How so he replied... You sir are a farmer. Every day you show up to farm the general public for your livelihood. In a way we all are farmers......We had a good chuckle over it!!!

It is amazing to see what the modern farming work is done on a day to day basis. I'm from West Washington at this time. It's awesome to see and hear you explain the different jobs you do Zachary, as my grandpa would say a farmers job is never done. Your doing a Great job by having your family work along with you. Still would like to see your mother as 7she is also a farm wife and is part of this Farm.

man, Your weather may be cold, but Ms. MF makes any day much brighter. A beautiful woman who brings food and pitches in with farm work is a true blessing. Both my parents came from farms. Your videos remind me of the time on my family's farms. That time on farms kept me going, when living near the city got very nasty. God Bless you all..

I as a mechanic have a recommendation on loosening wheel bearing nuts. If you believe that you installed it correctly the first time, then only back it off a 1/8th of a turn. By going a 1/4 you could be actually over loosening that could cause more damage than being over tight.

Always run taper roller bearing arrangements loose unless it is a precision deal like a differential and has very good lubrication and cooling. The very way they work, when they get a load on them they run nicely

Thanks for doing the videos. As a new farmer I love to watch the professionals. I was reading a news article about a small family farm in distress. Having trouble paying bills with the low price of commodities and stuff. I am a city farmer and get what I ask usually. That farm had a go fund me so gave a donation. I guess there are plenty of farms like this. Just wanted to see if you would want to raise some awareness and if there where some good places to send a donation thanks

So, what IS "92 day corn"? Does it take 92 days to grow from a seed to a certain point or what? What is the difference between it and 102 day (other than ten days, smarty-pants). Why does one yield different than the other and is there a price difference?
@johomerza5 жыл бұрын
In central plains states 102 day corn has enough growing degree days to mature, and grows leaps and bounds over 92day corn. In Northern climates the growing degree days are less so longer maturity corn never gets to it's full potential before it goes into for lack of better terms, death mode. In our area of Ohio we would plant 102 as our earlier planted corn and finish with 92 day corn. Remember your not just planting for maturity it also needs time to dry before harvest.
@v31245 жыл бұрын
@@johomerza ok, so it's not necessarily mature 92 days after it's planted, but after it's had 92 days at a range of temperatures which are optimal for growth and drying? And 102 day corn tends to yield more?
@johomerza5 жыл бұрын
@@v3124 kinda? Sorta? 92 and 102 is days till maturity, we just hope we have enough growing degree days in that time frame. Nevertheless, My Agriculture degree is from the School of Hard Knox and Failures University. Been there for 32 yrs, since I was 12 yrs old. Still learning everyday because everything changes with the wind.
