How many times do I hear how bad the club's transfer business has been and then it's the usual list of three players: Silva, Guedes and Cutrone. Hey, that's what's known as confirmation bias. So I don't know how many times I've done this in different comments (keeps me busy) but here's the missing half of the list: the players that we bought cheaply or who have definitely proved their worth. Let's start at the top: Moutinho. What a player! Neves. What a snip! Patricio, Jimenez, Jonny, Adama, Jota. What a transfer window! Neto, Podence (served us well too) and Boly. And now the current squad: Semedo (came good in the end), RAN (who knows how good this kid might be?), Doyle (another bargain), Lemina, Sarabia, Boubacar Traore (looking good), Joao Gomes (just a fantastic player) and Cunha of course. Final point: leaving out Jimenez, Semedo and Cunha, all of these players were relatively cheap and for two of them (Neves and Jota) we also turned a tidy profit.

I totally agree about VAR. The fault finding aspect of it and the not being able to celebrate goals takes all the excitement out of the game, it is completely toxic.

Ive stayed away from Prem football for about a month, this season has drained me and I was sick of the VAR/ref madness, looking forward to the end of this season and hopefully they get their act together because it is not only Wolves that have been screwed (which means it is getting more attention now). Can see the club making 80m plus in transfers this summer, probably spending about 5m on deadline day.😂 I dont think GON will be here, if he is it will be a total reset in terms of the squad, and we will have that dreaded ''rebuilding season'' terminology.

I don't get up often but when I last did it was in the wv1 bar in the north bank and it was good. The other times I go to the Steve bull stand and it feels no diff to going to watch Exeter city. Just abit bigger.

Great pod as always, do have faith in the current football side of things as matt mentioned. Gomes, Mosquera show the scouting/football department doing their job. Just need the funds to be allowed to do it moving forward!

Yeah it's bad on squad depth and I really do respect this group of players and grinders who have ran ragged for us all season with limited rotation and rest time. My old man however believes these players will move elsewhere this summer and jump ship with no investment. Why risk their careers here? We have like 15 to 16 first team players. A few will move on some sold for profit and a transfer budget I can see others requesting to jump ship if Gary isn't backed.

How about they sell Geudes and Podence and don't put up season ticket prices??? Should be 35mill for both of them. Put that towards new facilities especially in the Steve bull. Could get some massive TV screens in.

Didn't celebrate the goals on Saturday after being there on Wednesday and the West Ham games, so what is the point! My 13 year old son has already said he doesn't want to renew and I am seriously considering not bothering myself. Been a season ticket holder on and off for over 20 years. Love the Wolves, hate VAR.

Hearing lot of fans saying same thing. I cancelled mine 2 seasons back, lage did my head in and the tippy tappy sideways possession football with little goals. Not my cup of tea. Mainly was Steve bull facilities that did it for me, toilets from 1985, dirty, no food, no hotdogs over priced bottle of beer. Just felt it was poor considering I've followed England all over the world and been some top facilities with space and higher value match day experiences. I didn't see the value and It was stressing me out. But I enjoyed the season before VAR ruined it. I just don't get the offside rule and don't believe the TV camera and them drawing lines does it any justice especially when the camera isn't in line with the player offside and its at an angle. It's subjective if it looks or doesn't look like offside from a 20 degree camera angle? But VAR is good. It has cut out diving, nasty brutal tackles, goal line tech is good. And some times the ref does miss stuff if he isn't facing that way and the linesmans miss it too. They just need to update the offside rule and bring in this new tech in Europe that has a chip in the ball, so we know if it's offside or not. Think players shirts or bibs will help clear up the last man? And clear if it's on or not.

When the club show no ambition when europe and fa cup wembley trip was there to grasp is the biggest frustration. Why should we as fans give more when the club shows no signs of wanting to do the same. This season, admittedly unexpectedly, there was definitely an avenue with the big teams faltering which may not be there next season, in an ultra competitive league you have to go for it when the opportunity arises. Instead we penny pinched and now asking fans to put their hands in their pockets.

Speak for yourself Matt, because I never wanted VAR at any stage. In fact, I always knew it was going to be a complete shitshow. Especially after I'd seen its inauspicious introduction at the Confederations Cup in 2017 when it was so bad that many of the decisions were literally laughable. After that I thought even FIFA will have to reconsider this idiocy, but not at chance. Under Infantino whose wikipedia entry actually has a section headed "corruption" (that's a joke by the way - they wouldn't dare!) they have totally pushed this crap on us - Blatter for all his faults (wikipedia entry heading is for "minor corruption" only - joking again, folks!) never wanted it. And that's another thing I remember the widespread delight at getting rid of Blatter (although not so much in the developing world) when the FBI came all guns blazing holding a RICO indictment (i.e., treating a sporting body as if it were the mafia itself for reasons we will probably never know) followed by the stony silence now during Infantino's wretched tenure. To coin a phrase: Blatter the devil you know!
