By the way flu is also serious for the elderly, so it wasn't something completely new, just a more severe flu. The round zero was a joke, the 2 West Aussie teams with the harshest travel schedules played last, it should have been used to allow them both or at least 1 to stretch their travel schedules out.

i think opening round would be great for west coast and freo if they played opening round, then had a bye at round 3 or 4 then 8 or 9 founds till bye round, then play another 6 or 7 rounds and play north in a home game then that would reduce/ help eagles and dockers with scheduling not a lot but a bit, but it also defeats the purpose of opening round to have the vic teams playing north.

The WC WAFL team should get the same draft deal as all the other WAFL teams. How come Peel are allowed to participate in the WAFL draft but not WC? If a suitable deal is not forthcoming, WC should enter our reserves in the VFL and enlist all the best WAFL talent suitable to assist our younger AFL players.

@@DonMoss-gw5tt Peel existed before West Coast reserves. They have their own zone and are a host club for Fremantle. Eagles are a standalone club so the other WAFL clubs make it as difficult as possible. People elsewhere in Australia don't understand that the Eagles find it really hard to recruit anyone. There has been minor changes in recent years, but still poor. I reckon we should try to split the players between two or more WAFL clbs. And if the clubs don't play the guys in the right position and style, then the WAFL needs to allow the Eagles to move their listed player to another club that will cooperate.

@@DonMoss-gw5tt the other alternative would be to enter a 10th team in the WAFL and that becomes the Eagles team. They would have a zone etc. Whether it be Bunbury or Northam or Armadale... even Rockingham and upset Peel, Freo and Souths.
