You know, I watch a lot of fly fish videos, but I think I enjoy yours the best I can actually sit down and just watch it and relax and just enjoy. Do you have a background in videography and your music is amazing.

Thanks so much for the kind words. That means a lot! I wish I could say that I had a background in videography but unfortunately I do not. I just really love fly fishing and enjoying the outdoors and I love sharing it with others. I am just trying to learn the videography thing along the way and hopefully each video gets a little better each time!

Fontana Lake changed way of life for many people, Hazel is one of easiest hikes to fish!

It sure did. I’ve always found the history around Fontana and many of the TVA lakes very fascinating. So interesting to hear what was there before the lakes were made.

I've been waiting for a time I could sit down and enjoy your video. finally set down this morning with a cup of coffee before church with my wife and really enjoyed your video. I just got back from the Bryson area. I fished lower Nantahala and Snowbird. planning on getting back much more. I need to learn the north Georgia area, for some short 3 day weekend trips

Another great video, Derrick...I love to see that you and your friends are a wonderful stewards to nature and the earth we have left to enjoy. How was the crowd? Was the hike in from the lake pretty flat?

The hike from the lake is relatively flat-very subtle incline in places. As for the crowd, we saw several through hikers and campers while there, but it never felt crowded. I think there is so much area for people to spread out that it never felt crowded on the river, at camp or on the trails. Hope that helps!
