Miss Lisa, I am writing to applaud your brilliant review of these beautiful pencils. It was a treasure to listen to. You treated Lori and each pencil with respect, admiration, and JOY filled spontaneous honesty. I loved it. I am rather new to the adult coloring world. I'm hooked! I'm ready for my next set of quality budget pencils. I've watched a LOT of reveals & reviews various pencil brands over the last 2 months. LOTS & LOTS of them. Some more than 2 or 3 times. I want the T. You gave the heart. Thank you.

Just finding your review now! I put my Star Joy Golds in a different order that I find easier to use. I left the analogous trios together but then put the jewel color of that trio right behind followed by the pastels and muted colors. Then tans and browns with grays at the end. Like to keep similar colors together. Sara Renee Clark just did an exhaustive review of colored pencils from a wide range of prices and these were her favorite budget set. That’s quite a compliment. They are very durable. I use them a lot and will buy them again. Just wish there were more reds but I use them along with my Deli set which is stored in the same case and it has reds. Otherwise love the wide color selection.

I have been a student of #LORIGREEN for three years. She has literally brought me from a black and white world into a world of color! Lori’s handprints are all over this project, to include the verbiage on all the materials right down to the numbering on all the pencils. And Lisa, big love to you too! You got me started on gel pens and I’ve never look back! #COLORMYWORLD has been such a blessing to my life!

@@LisasColoringCorner Yeah! You cost me a lot of money 💰, but not near as much as Lori! Between the both of you I’ve spent the night sleeping on the coach with my gel pens underneath my pillow and my colored pencil sets(20 now! 😩) underneath my blanket!😆😆😆🤣🤣🤣🥴🥴😁😁🤔

The color placement is interesting and i am sure it will help beginners. The cosmetic changes like the matte finish and large print is also nice. However, they didn't improve on the formula of the pencil. Lori even said so (how I knew). Kinda a deal breaker as the original SJ set is VERY water soluable. I realize most oil based cp can be, but I need a pencil that stays put for the most part for my mixed media. Mark Art (Nyoni) do stay put so I'll stick with those.

Those first 100 sets were set up to read as the Chinese do from right to left rather than left to right as English is read.

Hi, I just purchase this set on amazon, it comes yesterday 29-dec-2022 but with a repeated color which is 70-MP Vintage Vermillion, the missing color is 56-J Carrot Orange, how can I claim for the missing color?

The 72 pencil sets are available in a cloth roll. They are the StarJoy originals but have been printed as 1-72 and seem to be in a pretty good order for any typical set from China with standard names. This was one of the better reviews and you seem to have captured the story behind the creation of this unique set of budget oil-based pencils produced out of China with significant input from a coloring centric artist. Also Lori is opening another channel in 2022 for all the tutorials- especially for beginners! She will still be posting the more advanced videos on her regular channel.

Thank you Lisa for this detailed review. I have been a longtime subscriber of Lori and really wanted to get them. If anybody is interested, since it is not possible to get them in Europe (yet) I was able to find them through UBUY. I ordered 2 sets, shipping was 38 Euros plus my local custom/ tax 32 Euros, shipping time 5 days (including weekend). Prices vary depending on shipping location and local custom/tax. This applies to Germany and were the prices for 2 sets. I imagine 1 set would be cheaper in shipping and half the custom/tax. They arrived in perfect condition and exactly like you showed. I have swatched them, love the colors and do not regret getting them. Btw Lori has another channel dedicated to these pencils with instructions and tutorials called: Star Joy Gold.

Crista Luna You are completely wrong about Lori making a separate KZbin channel for just StarJoy Gold colored pencils. All of the videos Lori made on the StarJoy Gold pencils are just on her free Color my World KZbin channel.

Lisa's Coloring World All of the videos Lori has made about the StarJoy Colored Pencils are included on her free Color my World KZbin Channel. Her other KZbin channel has nothing to do with adult coloring at all.

I was telling you the StarJoy tutorials are just on Lori's Color my World channel and not her other channel at all that is dedicated to another type of art instead. You need to do your research.

No she did that on purpose as there is never a good white in budget friendly pencils so she suggests getting s good white like a prismacolor or something like that.
