I have a valid reason to dislike Greg (video made on me) but even I can't deny -- and will admit -- the man has achieved great things. I'm so tired of people downplaying and trying to take away from other people's success simply because they don't like that person or are jealous in some way. Why don't you guys just keep it real 💯 and get out of your feelings, eh?

Yo TBF for the local bicycle race, the test he was on was not helping him do better. He was a better triathlete as a young man when he was natural and competed around less than 170. Yes in general, test will increase performance, but this was not a serious competition for Greg, and only a part of his bicycling passion, which he has continued to this day.

@@BackGuy Awesome! You can find a lot of information about him in Finnish as well. when he tested the bench for the first time at the age of fourteen, he benched 100kg and at the age of 17 he benched 200kg at the national team camp. About 15 years after that, he benched 280 kg of raw competition bench and 300 kg of gym lift**. He was tested regularly throughout his career, the Finnish steroid testing protocol is really strict. He has top gifts for the bench, body structure, technique and he was very precise and regular in terms of training for decades. he is a pipe keeper from Maalahti. He is still very strong, although he has lost some weight since his prime. nothing indicates the use of doping substances.

The justified hate and disgrace is his consequences for said action. If he's OK with it, so am I. Dr. Mike did not grow from Greg, he grew from everyone LIKE Greg that his science based theories disagree with. And I agree with Dr. Mike in many cases. Hating Greg is definitely one of them! 😆

At 5'6 you dont need much leverage to lift a lot of weight. Its like how you can easily break a long thin stick but struggle to break it when its shorter. Try to break a stick from a tree, each time you break it it will get shorter the smaller it is. Thats why short stocky built guys are so great power lifters Dolph Lundgren for example,has stated he struggled with weights. With long limps he was more so fit for punching and kicking. Each body type is built ideally for something different. Me for example i am stocky with long torso and short limps(My TOTAL wing span is only 6 foot at 6'3,very short arms)proportional to my height,as you can quess i can not run at all,and throwing punches tires me. Fitting for my built i am better at weights and wrestling
@TheBigshot789
@TheBigshot789 2 ай бұрын
Smells like Copium up in here 🤪 Greg's lifts are elite no matter how you slice it. And no one has an elite build to be good in all lifts. Greg's shorter arms are a benefit for pressing power, but a huge detriment for deadlift positioning, yet he found a way to work around it with decades of technical practice and effort. Not a Greg fanboy but his lifts are legit for any standard, no need to discredit them

I know Greg is strong, no doubt, but I have always been wondering the impressiveness of claiming all those world records. I mean, sure, you can make a world record out of anything as long as you carve out a niche enough category. I hold the world record of owning this KZbin account for the longest time, but that is hardly a meaningful record at all. The real question is: Is the category of which someone holds a world record competitively meaningful? A question I know no answer of but I would love to hear your thoughts.
