I tried this today and I'm pleased... I was able to get as many as 40 without dropping my staff. I'm using a 5' tapered hardwood staff and I'm not in my best shape so my left arm definitely got tired more quickly than my dominant hand but I'm going to keep at it. Thanks for the video.

I cannot even believe it...It seemed impossible but I tried with no fear and after a few minutes, I swear I was doing it repeatedly with my left hand! I am in shock! WOW..if you follow the steps it works! It is beautiful!!!

Bruh, I found out something cool about myself. I’ve been trying to learn this for literal months and could never do it. I trained with a lightsaber and a short baton. I was faithful it would take awfully long for me to nail it. Then, recently, I was invited to perform at an off-season Halloween party and decided to do a spear routine. I tried doing the flip with the spear, zero hopes… and I nail it. I think I’ve done it about 60 times without dropping already. I just need to practice some more to polish it and let the spear spin for longer in the air. But yeah, I’m so happy! I found out I’m a spear and staff guy! This feels so magical to me teehee

@@michelle-c-smith that's very good skill. What length is that short staff? I'm thinking about Making one from a solid oak dowel I can buy from a hardware store only 3 streets from my house. Oak is a good hard wood used in a lot of Wooden Bokken Swords I own. By the way, I liked the skill you have in your Flowsaber videos and heard you say you support Ultrasabers.com, which I have to say I love their Website and I have bought stunt sabers from them quite a few times. I have 3 Different V2 Saber Hilts. One is an Aeon V2 with a Guardian Blue LED. The other 2 are Initiate V2... one Fire Orange, the other Consular Green. Another Initiate V2 Consular Green is on its way to my house. Yet, it always says it may ship in 7 business days and Today was the 7th business day, so I'm beginning to wonder if anything happened to the package. A few years ago one of my Packages containing a Japanese Practice Weapon was reported stolen at the hub in Memphis Tennessee where I live by one of the employees. I was upset and we had them investigate the incident. The website we bought the practice Weapon from sent another at no cost. So they were considerate and kind about the mishap with the employee.

Okay this is my first video I've seen by you. For a few seconds this set me off as a bad video. Most people online who act competent in skills regarding martial arts or martial art related weapons and they call themselves any sort of ninja, they're not usually that great. But I was really surprised at how natural it seemed for you to handle the staff and how well you managed to simplify the technique. I don't have anything to practice this with yet but if I ever do, I'm coming straight back to this video and channel

Hi Michelle! I'm not sure whether you are familiar with the Force Unleashed video game, but anyway it has a basic attack which I can't really do in real life correctly. The protagonist starts with reverse grip in his right hand (blade behind the back), starts a body/head strike down to his bottom left side. The hard part is what comes after this: at the moment the blade reaches bottom left, he opens his hands (the blade spins further due to momentum), then catches the saber to a forward grip and strikes from bottom left to top right. The rest is easy (youtube: sith saber flurry) Do you have any suggestions on how to perform this correctly?
