Years ago, I tried to be a camera geek, somewhat after my dad's foray into taking some great photos of our outdoor outings with an ancient Olympus film cam, but I got lazy over the years and settled on the GoPro stuff. Not necessarily the best in the digital photo/video world, but it works to tell my little story. My big takeaway, I'm still trying to keep up with the tech, especially at my advanceing age. Always good to see what works well for you and learn some new tricks.

Great content as usual! My Z9 is bigger than my D850 ;) ---But yes 9/10 times Mirrorless is more compact! I love that Sony/Canon/Nikon keep battling for Mirrorless camera body supremacy! Were getting awesome leading edge stuff w/prices for "last years nodels" with great price breaks!

Like with most tech, one can go broke chase after the latest cameras. My cycle has been about every 5 years, but the closer I get to the golden years, the more content I become with what I have. Wisdom or mother necessity... I don't know, maybe both.

My ND filter is built into the camera. Lots of great features packed into that thing.
