Backpacking Duck Lake Pass | Overnighter in Mammoth | Everything you need to know!

[timestamps below] Hi everyone! This summer it's been so hard to snag backpacking permits in the Sierras, so we were lucky to get one for Duck Lake Pass! We had never heard of it so we didn't know what to expect, but the trail ended up being sooo beautiful. We decided to set up camp at Barney Lake, which made it way easier to make it up the pass just with our daypacks. We were too tired to go to Pika Lake, but we did see it from a distance!

Another incredible vid! Mammoth is stunning, we hiked Big Pine Lakes last summer how would you compare that to Duck Pass? Looks like something we would get into.

Beautiful in its own way!! We loved Duck pass bc it wasnt as strenuous as big pine and had much more trees/shade at camp! Plus it was so nice being so close to the lake
