It's a great place. We go up to the lakes as often as possible. The fishing is good in the late summer. Rawah is a Ute Indian word for "Wilderness", pronounced, Ray-wah, like water. The thunderstorms can really roll through up there.
@AndyOnTheMountain7 жыл бұрын
Al Ohms Ya I had figure I was pronouncing it wrong. I would say one thing that scares my backpacking in the Rockies is the lightning, it can get hairy. Thanks for watching hope you get some backpacking in soon. Andy

Enjoy, but don't forget your warm clothes. A few of the peaks around Colorado have already seen a light dust of snow.

Beautiful hike! Hehe I love that you say tons of mosquitos and then you left your netting at home. Hehe.

What a view from the campsite. I have found needles and dope stuff at campsites in the past. We have decided to go backpacking out west because of your videos.

Life is good! Thanks for sharing. Cant wait to get out there, for now the Florida Trail and Southern part of the AT are going to have to do it for my wife and I
@AndyOnTheMountain8 жыл бұрын
Getting outdoors anywhere is better then no outdoors. I'm originally from Florida, you should check out the Florida Trail along the Suwannee River in Northern FL.

Thanks for the awesome vids. Just came across your channel and now I must go hike! If you had 3 days in CO, what spots would you hit? Overnight or just hiking, I just want to see the Rockies. This camp spot was incredible!

@AndyOnTheMountain8 жыл бұрын
Ah the good ol Rx 👌🏼. The water was freezing but absolutely worth it. I actually saved the ground score for a show at Red Rocks and I forgot it was visible in my shirt pocket... Needless to say they took it. Haha oh well. Andy

That was epic seriously that made my day looking at that lake view and the water fall below. I did a double take at 6:00 time line as I thought you turned that smart bottle and Sawyer into a bong! Lol crazy state of Colorado they allow pot yet want to take away your second amendment rights. That's what happens when you allowed California liberals to move to Denver the rest of the state suffers.

so I'm sitting here in my MSR hubba hubba that I got the same year you did actually and you didn't try to do anything except for a footprint did Jeff cuz I got a footprint for mine and you're just using the vestibule and the footprint you don't like the 10 itself is that what I'm taking I've been waiting for Friday for it to rain real good so I could test it out a little bit harder before I go on my hike I live in Loveland Colorado and I was just going to do Hunter and what is 177 mile hike to Leadville then get picked up at Copper Mountain come back because I'm just starting but I'm sure this time will do fine what do you think
